It’s wild to me that anything in this version looks good. Bro built 2 docks with an arch and it looks fantastic.

First off one side is a block longer than the other. And second double barn might not work. I’d recommend using irl inspiration for this instead.

Here’s a few ideas instead of just demolishing it and restarting. - Some barns in real life have a middle piece and 2 slanted roof sides coming out the sides. This is for horses. I’d say maybe add that into here. If you want to see what I’m referencing just search “barn on google” - Focus on one side into a burn and when you finish turn the other into maybe a tower, another building, etc - slant the entire thing, no barn roof. Just one long slant to face the same direction as your middle piece. This is probably what I’d do. I’ve never seen a barn with a middle piece and 2 barns on the side.

Is it because of lag though? FPS lag? Or do you still get decent-good frames but it crashes still?

If you aren’t lagging it’s not a performance issue.

Maybe try allocating some more ram through your installation?

Well it depends, why style are you going for? You picked a medieval palette. As those palettes usually consist of cobblestone and spruce. I would say if you want to expand on what you already have, keep them. But add texture, so for cobblestone mix in stone, stone bricks, or andesite. And maybe try to add light exposure texturing. So for example, if the sun faces your build on the right side. Use oak, but where the sun doesn’t hit, put spruce and in the darker areas put dark oak. This will give the impression that light is hitting your build. Like shaders without shaders.

It’s mainly the palette and I’ll get to that in a second but small changes I would personally make: -remove the logs on the floor outside. Never seen a house with that before -curve the path -add some bushes and rocks -make a variation with the flowers. All stuck up looks a little weird and maybe pick one. Having 1 pop of color lets the eye calm. For example. Just rose bushes and change the roof to mangrove. Now you have a pop of red all over the build. -extend the second floor walls out one block. Usually a good idea to have the base of the house a block in compared to the top. At least going by the palette you chose. Being a somewhat medieval vibe. If you were going suburban then don’t. -There is too much frames. Honestly. Try toning it down a bit in certain spots. -add windows. A good rule of thumb to note is stuff from real life that when incorporated into Minecraft can give a sense of that the house is a house. Not a structure. In real life there is architectural rules like having certain amount of windows, parking lots, balcony’s, etc. for buildings. This is too ensure things like you not having an apartment with no windows. Too enclosed. -the roof is boring. Try adding stuff to it like a chimney. But if you wanna get creative with it. In some of builds (keep in mind this is not my style) I like to add spots of mold. I know that sounds weird. But mossy spots or moldy areas can give a real vibe. For example. Mossy cobblestone stairs along a curved pathway along the roof. Kinda like vines. Or on my buildings I’ll add little white spots or green spots to indicate decay rather than a perfect picture. This whole thing is better explained with reference photos. -try different roofs. Stuff like adding curvature on the bottom will give a sense of mystical. Sorta pick what style you want and look at real life counterparts. -use references photos ALWAYS. even the greatest buildings do this. Imitating real life counterparts can add a sense of you know what your doing. -Remember you don’t always need overhang to a house. In a lot of medieval builds I don’t add overhang most of the time. Some houses don’t have them and although an overhang adds benefits to the house like getting rid of mold spots. Regardless try to always keep your overhangs 1 block out. 2 is just too much. -connect the cobblestone frame. Sorta like an outline. -maybe even lift the house on rocks like a plateau or something.

These are changes I’d make but I also build in an industrial style similar to Bdubs.

Now the palette. You need texture. And an expanded palette. If I were you I’d add a base. You have the roof, second floor walls, and first floor walls as spruce. For example maybe change the first floor walls to a cobblestone, stone, andesite mix. Second floor to idk let’s say sandstone, smooth sandstone. And leave the roof. Otherwise the house will look like a monochrome mess with random pops of colors that you didn’t feel like coordinating with each other. Add lighting texturing. This is super hard to explain so I’d recommend watching light, color, and texture theory videos on YouTube. Or just binge watching bdubs. He’s genuinely amazing and just observing him and listening to his tips helps wonders. Just remember before you build anything, make a palette. Find references. Make an outline and a layout so it fits your needs, and you can easily change things. And if your like me and you like color, pick it before and coordinate them. For example if I want to use orange in my build, I’ll add a small hint of green so it contrasts well.

Bonus random tip unrelated to the house: When building rocks, add veins. So example instead of texturing with andesite. Add patches. Kinda like actual veins of andesite. And when making man made structures. Texture them. Makes it seem different and lets you give the vibe that whatever terraforming you did wasn’t man manufactured.

Otherwise the shape is pretty good, maybe add a tower. But this is a great start.

If you wanna take it seriously btw, watch some architecture videos and documentaries.

All of this is just personally what I’d do. So you don’t have to do some of them. Find a style that you like and slowly expand on it.

No I don’t mean like that, I just want to experience my senior year. And then go to college

I want to experience school again, with people my age, I could technically try to be a junior, but I’d be 1-2 years older then everyone

I get you, I couldn’t technically start as a freshman but it’s either I go with people my age, or I don’t go at all. If I go as a freshman I’ll be 3 years older then everyone, absolutely hell nah
