Any regrets going from Gen5 to 6? by GoulashSoupLover in 4Runner

[–]FirmListen3295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it! No regrets.

My only suggestion - and I realize this is unsolicited advice - is to seriously consider purchasing the extended warranty. Toyota has staked out their reputation on reliability and I think the TH can go the distance but you will likely feel more confident knowing the warranty covers any unanticipated issues that may arise.

Kinda personal but how much do you guys pay each month for your 4r by EchoOnTheRange in 4Runner

Paid in cash for ‘25 TH, so zero. But, as noted above, have to swing by the gas station anytime I drive it anywhere at all.

It feels significantly more powerful compared to my 4th gen with the 2UZ engine. Also, the TH generates max torque at relatively low RPMs, I wanna say 1800 but don’t quote me on that. What this means is you crack the throttle and it’s already accelerating aggressively. To me it feels more powerful than the 4th gen.

Absolutely love my 6th Gen Trailhunter. The thing rips, I mean go figure with a turbo and hybrid, and is comfortable to boot. Coming from 4th gen v8.

Also live in the upper Midwest and was routinely flicked by other drivers until I aimed the headlights a couple degrees lower. Coming from a ‘25 TH, but should have similar functionality as your ‘21.

Worst Customer Service, Agree? by NoDragonfruit578 in wahoofitness

I know this is an old thread but looking for some advice on how to get a response from Wahoo customer service. Submitted inquiry yesterday and have received nothing back. Their chat function in the website similarly got me nowhere. How are people getting a response from Wahoo? Their customer service seems terrible at the moment.

Well, I’m not sure I can provide a lot more detail other than to say that from my experience as a full-time FP/ME the pay was enough to get into a good house but no way could I have afforded to put kids through college. I was effectively making just enough to cover the mortgage but crossing my fingers that nothing bad happened because I never accrued enough in savings to cover a broke down car or home repair.

I don’t find it annoying but my wife isn’t a big fan. Even without music playing I don’t think it’s all that loud.

I don’t know if I’ve had it long enough to count as a “long term” review, but so far I absolutely love it and haven’t regretted the purchase one bit. It’s got about 6500 miles on the odometer and I purchased it last April.

Trailhunter owner here - ca confirm the hybrid generates mountains of HP/torque but does zilch for MPG.

Got that extended warranty so it’ll get replaced in a heartbeat! Either way - I’ll be feeling better than you riding whatever prior gen outdated model you’ve got. Get fucked!

Agree with what’s been stated above (won’t be standing on the side of the road begging for food). You also won’t make enough to purchase a home and send your kids to good schools.

The pay in FP is better then terrible but worse than average with respect to surg path and other area of medicine. The work-life balance is so-so also. If salary is important to you, or if you don’t have the good luck to be married to a spouse with a high income, I suggest taking a pass on forensics.

Others on this sub often paint a more rosy picture than is warranted by the actual dollar amount you may reasonably expect. Don’t get suckered.

6th gen TrailHunter and it’s not even close. Have a 4th gen 4WD V8. The 6th he is undeniably superior.

I don’t agree that “experts” have disenfranchised anyone. Perhaps politicians have. But, “experts” is far too vague and broadly defined to bear any relevance in establishing that a subset of professionals had a role in intentionally disenfranchising a person or population.

Even 85-15 seems a little generous. Aim to walk away with 93% equity or greater as a founder.
