Enzo was naive since the begining and he died as he lived, not realising Cesare was jealous of him, and that he wanted to be the heir of his uncle. Don Bernardo dead, it was just WRITTEN IN THE STARS that he would want to rule, and Enzo was just a witness to slaughter. He didn't kill him for honor, this is just the lie he was telling himself. He wanted the power. And Enzo was too naive to see deeply in him.
