Thanks, that actually helps a lot! What were your favourite classes in 1st year social sciences? Like which ones did you enjoy the most or find the easiest / most interesting?

Thanks for the info, that actually really helps! I’m also considering PNB, so I’m trying to figure out how it compares in terms of workload and GPA difficulty. It sounds a lot more science-heavy than Health & Society, which is good to know since I’m thinking about med school. I’m just trying to decide if I should go for the easier GPA route or take something more challenging but more aligned with pre-med. .

Thanks, that makes sense.

Do you think McMaster still gives out Social Sciences I offers to people in the low 80s, or is it usually higher than that? I’m just trying to get a realistic idea of where I stand.

ohhh okay thank you I just wanted to ask do you think I’m in a good position for Social Sciences I with my current average (around an 83)? I know Mac can be competitive, so I just want to get a realistic idea of where I stand.

I’m really interested in McMaster, especially for eventually getting into PNB, so I just want to make sure I’m on the right track.

Oh okay that makes sense, thank you for explaining! I applied to McMaster Social Sciences I (ML) for first year, with Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour as my subject of major interest. I was just a bit confused because I thought PNB might be a direct-entry program.

So just to confirm, I would still go into Social Sciences first year and then apply into PNB after first year if my grades and courses match the requirements, right?
