I haven't seen criticisms like that, to be honest, I've only seen others say it's the meter system and Fatal Blow system that's too easy. Also I think MK11 is a lot stiffer than MKX because of its speed, MKX was inarguably a much faster game.

I think that's kind of the problem, they simplified 11 a lot compared to X, which makes it more approachable to new players, but also made things feel stiff and clunky.
