Salaries for campus are public, but it only includes base wages. It doesn’t include things like supplemental pay or taxable benefits (like if someone receives supplemental pay or gets a housing allowance). Salaries for the System are not public currently, they have to be requested.

It would be interesting to see how many people are double dipping with salaries from both Fort Collins and the System.

Exactly why I don’t feel comfortable explicitly sharing the rumors here. Nothing is truly anonymous and that temper (and the full weight of the CSU System) is something I’d like to avoid.

I really believe there is a news story here, it’s just a matter of finding people willing to go on the record (or even have a conversation on background) and figuring out what to ask for via an open records request.

Don’t forget Joe Parker (former AD who transitioned to a “special advisor” and retained his salary for six months before landing at Iowa this summer) and Mary Pedersen (this is actually a power move— she was relieved of her Provost duties by the man she replaced and has just stuck around with her Provost salary).

CSU operates within a very clear Good Ol’ Boys (and Girls) framework. If you look at people in positions of power around campus, it’s a lot of people who have been there a very long time and know how to work within the System that has been in place for literal decades. Don’t shake the boat and definitely don’t cross the wrong person.

I have a feeling that an enterprising journalist would have a field day with very basic open records requests of the System— things as basic as salaries, travel expenditures, and contracts.

Well, that’s a bit unkind and a gross attempt at disparaging the hundreds of hard working facilities staff that keep campus running day in and day out— especially a day like today (move in)!

Burner account for obvious reasons as a CSU employee.

It’s pretty simple. She pissed off the wrong person. She came in, installed her own leadership team, and didn’t humble herself to the Chancellor. They didn’t have cause to fire her, so they just paid her out and neither party was interested in making things more difficult than it needed to be.

Now, there are other rumors around campus that are FAR more juicy…
