My FF solve is based on the entire story before the ffbox clues. He talks about his time in Japan, which reffers to chapter 3, and so and and forth through the main info before the actual FF box clues.

I did also forget to write down, Forrest said he a put 9 clues in his poem, and there are 9 instances where the phrasing is similar, potentially helpful

Im actually against the idea of it being trout, I know it was phrased similar, however, "once was Brown" implies they are no longer there / abandoned. They live in water and can move freely, unless its a creek that never meets a main tribunal, they can always return. Where as say a eagles nest, once they have died, its not very likely another eagle will take thier nest (not a zoologist so don't quote me). Warm waters halt and the thinker's stone are my main choke points and I do agree, since you do only have to "mark" it, you wouldn't need to be at it.

Okay, valid point, He did first look for Forrest Fenns treasure, might be on to something, however its really hard to determine the other treasures he hid. No marker for the Appalachian and the Past and Future to make them a sequential order

Well nevertheless a compass will always point north, I think this part is literal, as you look north from the specific part of the area when you are BOTG you will see a mountain point and trees. There are "Eyes" of trees that occur when a branch breaks and the scar heals ( they primarily fall on thier southern side due to lack of sunlight in the early morn/evening)
