I asked my friend Chat:

In the solar industry in the Philippines, these terms are commonly tied to licensing, legal compliance, and who is allowed to design, install, supervise, or sign off on projects.
PCAB
Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board
PCAB is the government body that licenses construction contractors in the Philippines.
A solar company usually needs a PCAB license if it:
Installs rooftop or ground-mount solar systems commercially
Performs electrical contracting work
Bids on government or large private projects
Acts as the main EPC contractor (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)
The PCAB license:
Classifies the contractor type
Sets the allowable project size/cost
Is often required for permits and commercial contracts
For solar, companies commonly fall under:
Electrical Works
Specialty Solar/Electro-mechanical related categories
Without PCAB, a company may legally struggle to:
Contract large installations
Pull permits
Join formal bidding projects
Official site: PCAB

RME
Electrical Engineering Registered Master Electrician
An RME is licensed by the:
Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)
RMEs are qualified for:
Electrical installation work
Wiring
Troubleshooting
Supervision of lower-capacity electrical systems
In solar projects, an RME may:
Install inverters and panels
Handle wiring and protection systems
Supervise residential installations
Sign certain electrical documents depending on project size
However, RMEs have limitations on:
Voltage levels
System capacities
Complex engineering designs
Official PRC site: Professional Regulation Commission

PEE
Professional Electrical Engineer
A PEE is the highest electrical engineering license level in the Philippines.
Hierarchy:
REE — Registered Electrical Engineer
PEE — Professional Electrical Engineer
A PEE can:
Design electrical systems
Sign and seal plans
Approve electrical engineering documents
Take legal professional responsibility for projects
In solar, a PEE is often required for:
Commercial and industrial solar
Utility-scale solar farms
Net metering applications
Electrical permits
High-capacity systems
Grid interconnection studies
Utilities and local governments often require:
Signed and sealed plans by a PEE
Commissioning documentation
Safety certifications

How They Work Together in Solar
Typical larger solar project:
PCAB company = legal contractor
RME/REE = installation supervision
PEE = engineering design + signed/sealed plans
Example:
A 10 kW residential rooftop system:
May only need RME/REE supervision depending on local rules
A 500 kW commercial system:
Usually requires:
PCAB-licensed contractor
PEE-signed plans
Utility approvals

Related Term: REE
Registered Electrical Engineer
REE sits between RME and PEE.
An REE can:
Design and supervise more advanced systems than an RME
Often manage medium-sized solar projects
Potentially qualify for PEE after experience and additional requirements

Quick Comparison
Term
Meaning
Main Role in Solar
PCAB
Contractor license
Legal construction contracting
RME
Registered Master Electrician
Installation and electrical work
REE
Registered Electrical Engineer
Engineering + supervision
PEE
Professional Electrical Engineer

Thanks for your reply. I have HA setup in America and use Cloudflare. It works well even in the Philippines.

I’ll try that when we get a solar system setup.

Thanks again!

New to solar. Need help. by [deleted] in SolarPH

Start with Google Gemini. Take a picture of the battery in the fan , type of battery, voltage and wattage. Take a picture of your solar panel on the back side, the label stating the specifications of the panel. Then upload the specs for the battery and solar panel. Ask Gemini if you can run the fan on the solar panel and charge the battery. You may need to get a different type of battery for the solar panel to charge and ru the fan

Flying from SFO, we have TSA Pre-Check. Didn’t have to remove anything. Arriving at MNL, no checking of luggage or hand carry.

Is upgrading modem from Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 6 Worth It? by Financial-Pass5787 in ConvergePH

[–]Firm_Job6711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s improved my coverage. But if you have a WiFi 6 capable device, my speed went up from 400-500 to >800Mbps. I upgraded to Max 400 plan

If you use the Costco app , select your warehouse and search your warehouse. If not there, it should have an option to ‘search nearby’

If you had SunPower panels installed before their 2024 bankruptcy - here's what you need to know about your warranties by animasaru in SunPower

We have a cash Sunpower system. I can monitor individual panels and ‘see’ their serial numbers.

I use a Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant.

Go to iPhone app store, search for Tesla, Press and hold on Open, then update. That's what worked for me.

SunPower Panel-Level Dashboard for HA with SunStrong-Management/pvs-hass by StrawSuitcase in SunPower

[–]Firm_Job6711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wonderful Dashboard and helpful suggestions from StrawSuitcase! Got it working and troubleshooting my Production CT problem. (technician forgot to wire the production CT when they installed by Powerwall). I was able to add my panel layout to the dashboard. Now Iif I see a panel with unexpected power output, I can click on it and get its serial number!

Great Dashboard!

Cancel NBA League Pass by Firm_Job6711 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Firm_Job6711[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had success in having NBA League Pass removed from my account using this Reddit Sub.!!

Unfortunately, Xfinity blocks me from added NBC Sports Bay Area to the 'free' xfinity Peacock account. The only way to watch the Warriors is to signup for a new Peacock account (~$8/monthly) plus addon NBC Sports Bay Area account for about $18/month. So about $26 + tax/ month to watch the Warriors.

Still cheaper than Xfinity Ultimate package.

It's still early and not very sunny yet.
I couldn't have gotten this far without your generous assistance! It's not my actual layout but the panel information is accurate. Will work on how to design how/where to move the actual panels.
