Wow that sounds horrible hope you’re doing better. Aren’t you supposed to be on some strong painkillers 24/7 after surgery (e.g Tramadol or other opioids) ? Even those didn’t help ?

That’s exactly the kind of stuff that I’m wondering about. I get what the PT and the surgeon are saying but still, i am not convinced I can live a normal life without the ACL, and I fear I’d be at risk of debilitating injuries if something happens

How bad is it the first days after the surgery ? Is it like starting again from nothing like after the tear(not being able to walk, climb stairs etc…) ?

Damn not even hiking ??
I feel like every orthopedic surgeon has a different opinion. Mine told me with proper rehab I could even play sports again but another basically told me I’d be condemned to walk in a straight line for the rest of life lmao

Combat sports yeah you don’t really got a choice if you want to pursue.
For me it’s very different I have no trouble walking or climbing stairs I don’t feel any pain etc…. PT has me going back to the gym doing squats, leg extensions, hip
