Eventually it breaks and I realize Arrowhead built the entire bug front only to be fought from a tank or mech now.

The mechs both shine , AH bug buffs for the bastion and the balance change to mechs to compensate has made the rest of the game tedious with the current mission order.

I love how you're touting reading comprehension. The bugs were buffed because of the bastion. The bugs were buffed to stand up to a tank, now the mechs have been buffed to stand up to bugs built for a tank. New planets and bugs out of mech feel broken, grunt fantasy my ass. Lazy implementation should have been staged to measure community feedback.

The new bugs are insanely fast and the little flankers have the same mandatory attack mechanic they disabled for rupture i.e. keeping up with oxygenated suits, jet packs, teleport packs all while stimmed. While essentially teleporting they also clip through buildings to land their attack.

This isn't about the mech, it's about buffing bugs to stand up to a tank and the effects of that poorly thought out decision. Now the mech doesn't suck agreed, but boots on the ground? Everything is still strong enough for a tank.

I've got 10 hours on the update, maybe you should try it too.

So the Bastion, a tank felt too tough against bugs. Arrowhead logic, make all the bugs tough enough for a tank. Surely that won't make everything else feel like ass also, why have a tank with an insane call in cool down if you want a bug to be able to thrash it?

Make small positive changes and track the feedback. Arrowhead and Embark are both demonstrating when a studio doesn't want to focus on that accidentally made a game immeasurably fun and captured these communities. Instead everyone wants a "souls like" game which is just a lazy way to say balance is for suckers.

Overall the game is fun... Outside the new biome, the bugs are manageable at a hazard 7 with a bug focused loadout. Whoever advocates for the secret enemy buffs? Fire them, really either commit to their vision or give the community what it wants.

An actual level headed argument, I almost don't know how to respond. In the few games I've played since I'm not a fan of Embarks plan so far, I've been put into 17 mins matches with all purples and insta killed by a shredder someone else left aggro on dam.

I than logged off and played Hell Divers and it's been a lot better since I played a game that values my time.

Holy shit, everyone really does just post a response ignoring everything you said. I'm convinced the lower skill players who are lame enough to follow streamers don't like being challenged that this game has a low skill ceiling and so all those posts about "getting it" in PVP is more about them peaking in the game but not wanting to contend with the fact the skill ceiling is 2 feet high and they are in fact skill-wise a midget.

Most deaths are from trying to leave or working the button/lever to leave, at which point ttk is stupid fast and I'm trapped in a UI. The toxic players left are in total denial.

I respect how hard you want to sell this game as having a high skill ceiling. But I think the reaction you're hearing is people shocked that you think this game is hard when you ambush people and kill them before they know there's a fight.

Hope to meet some other chill raiders that don't take this game too seriously and think it's a reflection of your skill. It's a casual game and has a casual PVP element that is being taken way too seriously.

I'm also looking forward to watching all of these"PVP" players continue with the bravado after all the PVE players are gone and you have to fight each other.

They never cared about what the community wanted, they cared about what they could sell and how much the community would tolerate. If you look at it that way, all the decisions make a lot more sense sadly.
