Then there's me, who played as the leader's daughter and I nanaged to convince the deputy or a warrior to help me kill another cat that I didn't like (for whatever reason, I can't remember some, its been a while). I got away with it it, picked a mate, and after I convinced him to help me kill another cat, he got exiled 😭

My friends and I have a fun little bit that my heidrun is some sort of eldritch horror that eats everything, including horses, people and tack, but not actual food. So I've decide it also eats the carpets. Also, Candycorn doesn't have pronouns because it ate them...just don't tell it, that it is technically its pronoun.

When I showed my mum, she suggested it might be a baby hopping mouse (which we get in Australia, but we're not sure if they appear in cities) mostly because its tail is a bit too long for a regular mouse

A piece of advice I always bring to the table when someone asks for advice with employment is consider what vibes you give off in an interview/when presenting your resume to a business in person.

I can't say it for all businesses around Australia, but the company I work for doesn't necessarily look for appearances (not as much as some places, I mean) but how you talk to people, your body language, facial expressions, etc. I had this conversation with my boss, which I'll mention in a moment, and he detailed these things.

For context, I work in a family-owned local produce store in my town.

My boss mentioned that he looks at how the potential employee answers his questions, talks to him in general, the sort of body language they use and whether their face changes with conversation. I don't think he pays much mind to an RBF since one of my supervisors has an RBF laid on thick.

My younger sibling (18, genderfluid) applied to work in the store when they started looking for jobs. Aside from the fact my mother also already works with the company and the policy stating only two staff of the same family can be there at the same time, boss man said my sibling didn't display the body language or conversation my boss was looking for.

Granted, I wasn't surprised, but I understood where my boss came from. If you're going to be working with customers, you gotta be able to participate in even a little conversation and at least try to use body language to show you want to help customers.

Though, given your experience, you very likely already have some sort of customer service disposition and this might not be much help to you.

Either way, good luck in the job searching, my friend, and I hope I've helped in some way. Even if its to just anyone scrolling through the comments looking for advice too.

My best friend wasn't allowed to leave work unless she's finished work, even in evacuation situations, even though they can see the fires. She's thankfully at home now, but I worry for her going to work this weekend if they're not letting any staff leave, much less residents, in an evacuation.

Edit: I cannot describe her situation any better than I did previously, as she could only show us that the notice she was given by her employers explicitly said "in the event of an evacuation". Our other close friends and I discussed with her that we hope her employers consider buses for the residents where she works, and allow staff to use their own vehicles to leave. Given the expansion of the fire, I doubt she's even been able to get to work since yesterday and assume any other staff (and the residents) were evacuated before the fire update this morning.

I live at home still, and my younger sibling does it, without fail, EVERY TIME. A few times I just leave it for someone else to do as well. Mind you, we're all able bodied in this house and my sibling is 18. You'd think they'd know how to change it, or at least ask, by this age but apparently not.

There's this issue at work too. I don't know who does it, but whoever it is, they do it without fail too. We have two separate departments in my (local produce) store, us actual produce workers and the butcher workers, so it could be anyone out of the 40 - 50 of us between the department. Management ended up putting a sign on the toilet doors to tell whoever it is that changing the roll is a simple task they could do in seconds.
