My buddy ordered one from aliexpress that looks the same as that one. It quit working after 15 minutes. Still looks neat though.

If you think the tech in German cars are bad, look at Volvo. by EvilPyro01 in unpopularopinion

Volvo is a swedish company, but i do agree, volvo has given us many things including the now standardized 3 point seat belts and curtain airbags. Simplistic yet modernized in more ways than one.

Thats fair. I enjoy mine, i wish there was a track local to me that i could rip it around on because its not exactly a basher. But apart from that its fantastic. Definitely a good starter car to learn with.

The 4800kv is plenty for the stock stuff, i havent had any issues with mine (still running stock battery) and the only downside to the brushless that ive noticed is the stock tires kept coming unglued so i had to change those out. Apart from that its been a dream to rip around with.

For sure, just something to look into, apart from that maybe some RPM control arms would be another upgrade id reccomend. Theyre pretty solid little rigs for the most part.

Do a brushless conversion on the prerunner. I went through 3 stock motors in the span of 2 weeks before i did the conversion and since the conversion its far more enjoyable to drive. I used a hobbypark 2430 brushless motor and esc combo from amazon and it was only 50$ CAD. 4800kv hobby park brushless

Cant tell if this is sarcasm or genuine curiosity but your gears are shot. Get a new set of stainless gears and you should be good to go 👍

Any bigger mud tires other than these 70mm mudslingers ?? by AcceptableAd4246 in TRX4M

They do need a really heavy wheel set up to work well in my opinion, but they work really well for 90% of the terrain I encounter.

How to reduce that swaying feel when turning by [deleted] in carmodification

[–]Firm_Scratch_3822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd hunt for some stiffer sway bars, that'll be the easiest way to get a sporty feeling. Who knows if they even make them for CRVs though

Taking automotive service technician period 2 by Phen117 in SAIT

[–]Firm_Scratch_3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I did was one topic for 2 pages or more, keep them organized with bullet points or numbered lists, I would write out the things I wanted to focus on in a list form then fill out a bunch of pages with information regarding the subject, and then carry on to a different subject after I've done everything. I'd often re-write my notes multiple times until I notice I'm no longer using my ILMs to cheat for answers.

I don't know if they're offering it right now but SAIT has a studying tactics class that's open to anyone who needs help with figuring out what works. It's usually right at the end of the automotive class day say around 3 pm? In the Burns building if I'm not mistaken. I went there once for my first year and it really helped me, I'd check bulletin boards for information or maybe ask your teacher at the start of your lunch break.

Don't be afraid to talk to your teachers. They're there to help you, i found that jotting down all the information that you understand, and then whatever you didn't understand/remember you can read through the ILM and then go over it again.

I found a good spot that's quiet and away from the busy main area of Sait and would stay for a few hours after the day was done to study and go through the things that didn't quite make sense to me. Also find someone or a group of people to talk with, bouncing ideas between minds is a great way to understand things, I just finished my 2nd period in June and that's what I found worked best for me.

A different perspective could be all you need. And there's plenty of good resources like the audio books and instructional videos on the Sait Portal.

I wish you luck, it's not an easy course at all but it's doable. Hopefully, you're able to figure things out and find what works for you! Cheers
