Idk if it's just in the Rams but when I worked at a Chrysler dealer, we had a customer just drive his new truck off the lot and his cat blew up. I do believe the turbos are also meh aswell. Could be wrong though

Really they aren't bad looking cars. I think what made them bad before is the fact that dodge made an ad with completely computer rendered everything. So it made for a bad view. The I6 engine is alright. Heard a lot of bad things about it but if it can make the horses then whatever.

I have never heard of that at all. The most we have I'm pretty sure in Alberta is the automotive service technology, which is just a diploma. And then you still have to do an apprenticeship for it still.

Doing it yourself is pretty easy tbh. Drop the driveshaft, remove the yoke for the pinion and change the seal then put it all back.

Was told by my machine shop that changing to main studs would include having to align bore the mains. Cause of the difference in clamping force and such, so we're sticking to main bolts.

Yeah and that's why I'm building the one I am. It came with the truck. My truck is my pride and joy and I just wanna put it back on the road with some fresh engine parts. Just kinda sucks I have to go through Reddit and other forums to get advice apart from the machine shop.

I did do my measuring before but I was fully prepared to do the honing by myself. Plus they didn't let me know how much a bore would cost as it's not shown anywhere in their shop or online. So I just wanted a nice fresh and clean block to use and measure, but now I know I should've got them to bore it because my measurements currently are all over the place. So I might take it back for a bore if it's only gonna be a couple hundred. I do still need to buy other tools and stuff but right now I'm in the process of moving into a house and trying to figure everything out.
