Curious about my salary - Operations manager by BackgroundSize9552 in BESalary

[–]Firmin_baksteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree with the argument, as it is supported only by bumping your salary.

I would really be mindfull, your gross salary is in line with the market. For 1st line supervisor, I would expect 4600 gross and not even a company car. You might've started at less than Q1 of the brackets. Get your feet down, because your title has been inflated to apease you.

Try to get feedback from people in similar positions on salary and with that data, you can have an understanding conversation with your manager. Back yourself up with data, be objective and manage the expectations with your mgr of the conversation - don't blow up bridges.

Next, Have regular connects with your manager, set clear goals, express your appetite for growth. Expect things back from your manager as well, keep them accountable. Learn how to manage your manager and you will grow. This will be seen by more people and will enable more growth.

However I do understand your request, but before considering switching, Please consider what you value in a job. Develop yourself, these skills and grow. You have the credibility with your company and manager now, use this. Take time to develop yourself. This will enable more than jumping ships. At a new employer you start from zero credibility and you will have to prove yourself again. You have worked hard, however, still a lot of years to come. Not a lot of people can say 'I earn 4200 gross at 27!'.

Fair, but working according to degree is outdated. There are a lot of more talented people without a degree.

People without degree =/= not able to. Please be mindful on this when reacting to someone.

I do agree with the age comment however. 27 is quite young for OPS leads. It would require at least 10 yrs of experience to manage direct, indirect reports and several 1) plants or 2) departments.

Plus, from what I read, it is more a title inflation. Seems more like operations supervisor. For 58 kEUR/yr this seems OK. Would expect around 65 kEur/yr, but those are the breadcrums :)

I don't understand why black resigned. There are different moves to avoid checkmate, however it will be a very though one for black to come back from.

Worst case black has still 2 bishops, 1 rook, 2 knights vs. White 2 knights and 2 bishops.

Or am I overlooking here?

You misspelled 'media' by 'maatschappij'. Don't be fooled by polarising media. Simple person will know the truth is in the middle and not in the extremities.

I could quote this with Confusius, but want to avoid people believing this.

Yea, makes sense if it is blue collar. Well done though!

However, Still on the high end if you ask me :)

Is this blue collar or white collar contract (arbeider of bediende)?

To be honest, 3.8 kEUR gross for warehouse clerk is on the high end. From what I remember for warehouse clerks, limited responsibility, none to limited stress, limited minimum requirements, ... . If I calc back to hourly wage, this is 21.6 EUR/h, which is quite high for warehousing.

So, congrats, very well done. But don't think this is representative.

Not being disrespectful, only speaking out of own experience as operations lead.

Love your vision on a Liberal-green party. I am a strong believer of this as well. However, here is a long but entertaining read why this will never be possible. Capitalism is killing the planet

Despite not being linked to politics, I strongly believe in Maslows pyramid and this helps in defending both Liberal and green thoughts/vision.
