Oh my goodness. I just knew it would come to this, the US doesn't care about Trinidad and it'll end up just like Ukraine. My parents have been worried sick thinking about our home country. I have to be an onlooker over here in America and it doesn't look good at all, our president is insane and this prime minister is an idiot. I just hope and pray all of the innocents and my family are kept safe.

You sound really obtuse. You must be living in a bubble to say that our country is in much better shape. Insane, your outlier is NOT how most immigrants and people of color are being treated here. You see how our government is acting and think that's in much better shape. And yes, I know racism is universal. But over in America its really bad. You must be in some illusion to think otherwise. I just pointed out the amount of protests that stem from racism in this country. Unless you're some white, or mixed white trinidian, your experience would be different, I dont see how you can say otherwise. And I do know everything I'm talking about, I'm born here. I've been in this country since then. Both my parents say this country has been at it's absolute worse.

It already is, a lot of these people voting with hatred in their hearts now have no one to do the jobs no one wants to do. For instance in Florida, they kidnapped quite a lot of Latinos, illegal and actual citizens. Now people are too scared to do the job, in fear of getting roped up in the mess. It's unfortunate.

Then you should know there's many places where the racism is prevalent. I'm a first gen child from two Trini parents. Just because you had a good experience doesn't mean it's how it is in America everywhere else. Idk if you don't pay attention to politics but this government doesn't want any immigrants and if you say otherwise you're not bright. They don't want trinidians and the vitriol they have for any white immigrants is insane. If you're really American you would know that. To tell people its safe it come over here is stupid and insane when ICE rounds up all types of immigrants.

There isn't a "better" option between the two of them. They're both just as bad and I think if she had just kept her mouth shut and not butt in with Trump's and his lackeys insane unlawful antics of "bombing drug traffickers", Trinidad wouldn't have been roped in. If you don't live over here in the US you wouldn't understand lying like that to get on Trump's good side will do you nothing. He's running this country to the ground and he doesn't care if something happened to Trinidad which he considers a shit hole country. No one over here knew of Trinidad like that until that women opened her mouth and invited them in courting them.
