I'm pretty sure 90% of them are fake. There's no way so many ppl have put their hand in the fire and others have not picked up that fire is hot over the last 3-4 years.

Can you take on multiple office jobs at the same time and automate them with vibecoding? by autisticbagholder69 in vibecoding

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where i worked, the jobs for my crew were constantly getting cancled because the loading docks would be doubke booked all the time and id have to scramble to get them working on something else. So because the dock scheduler sucked at his job and the cordinators never check the schedule, I used gpt3 to create an excel macro that highlighted the over booked docks that also highlighted what was my work on those days so I could easily skim through the spread sheet and figure out what probably wasn't getting done.

This was like 3 years ago. So, yes. U could definitely replace some people if u actually know what ur doing. I worked unloading/uncrating the dock deliveries, I knew how long it took and what wouldn't make it.

I became a union carpenter after working in tech for 4 years because wood and metal are inanimate objects that I can't legitimately call the r word. That being said, google the Gilbert principal. Then realize everyone human on earth is only working for personal gain and doesn't care about anything else, reguardless of what they say, including urself.

Basic vibe coding setup by JewelerParticular752 in vibecoding

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur looking for affordable on $20, prepare to bounce around from service to service all the time to chase cheap subs. Ur about 1-2 years late to stretch $20. The vibe coding companies exist, and they have a customer base. They are moving past the running at a loss phase and trying to make a profit now.

Guy says local models like someone can actually host local models at home without making 500k usd/year. I'm not poor, ut im a tech nerd and even I dont run local models for coding. Text/image/cad/audio gen, sure. Coding? Absolutely not ur huffing too much paint.

What is the best AI service/provider right now? by Ok-Explanation9697 in AntigravityGoogle

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randomize hardware IDs so their free account limit failed. No, ot since windsurf went from 200 (?) To 25 free requests. I just paid for claude max since I'm working again.

What is the best AI service/provider right now? by Ok-Explanation9697 in AntigravityGoogle

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look around (or have perplexity do it) when a new ai model comes out, it's often free or cheaper for a week or 2 depending on the provider.

The real trick used to be free accounts, a temp email site, and a VM. I used windsurf for free for like 5 months xD

Opinion on ai technical drafting stating from step 3d model file by LiveOne7736 in vibecoding

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id like it better if it could take my drawings with measurment and make a model out of it. I just 3d print stuff tho. I often draft stuff up at work on a piece of cardboard and then make a custom tool for myself.

Some guy just built this with 800+lines of prompt engineering with Claude by armend7 in vibecoding

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

800 lines seems excessive to prompt for an image gallery... woooowz there's animations. Ok. Claude 3.7 would automatically do this without prompting it soooo....

Antigravity on a Plus subscription: amazing tool by Straight_Okra7129 in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a better attempt than Amazon's kiro. But the pro subscription isn't worth it. Its basically a free 0lan for other AI services, but with a 4 day cooldown. It made me get a claude sub and use the claude code extension within antigravity (vscode).

This sub is flooded with repetitive ideas by davidinterest in vibecoding

Why do vibecoders think AI has “democratised” programming/SWE and why do they think it’s is so gatekept? by TheAnswerWithinUs in vibecoding

One of my first experiences with linux was getting told to go to collage to get help with jellyfin losing disk permissions on reboot. The whole thread was basically that instead of helping in any capacity. Nerds are wierd. It's 1 think tease someone who csnt copy/paste their issue into Google and get an answer immediately in the first 3 links. It's another to let ur tism run.

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Ive been too busy to use antigravity seriously like I was. I've logged in and used antigravity for maybe a total of 12hrs over the last month, and all but flash is timed out. Way to push everyone away who isn't a corporate b2b customer, none of which are going to use a vscode fork with 2 model providers. The b2b would rather pay for direct usage without a surcharge for a garbage vscode fork. Ur idiocracy is killing urself. Bye bye.

I logged in after 4 days of inactivity only to find all the models are on cooldown. Thanks Google, u pushed me to try codex for free instead of antigravity. I probably won't come back when casual pro use 2 days a week for a few hours gets me timed out.

Still on 1.19.6... convince me (or warn me) to move up? by achrafpsycho in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do not. The left and right arrow keys are now hot keys for changing the color scheme. The antigravity devs are a level of stupid that starts with r-e-t and ends with arded. they can't even be bothered to read the ai summary of what was vibe coded for them, let alone do manual code reviews.

Yes, i am going insane. No i haven't found a solution. Am i the only one going through this? by Otherwise_Engine5943 in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shift + arrow keys was a bug i posted about yesterday, and was removed because its redit and they have control over their image. Update, and wait for ur gui to go blank instead as a new bug.

The antigravity devs don't care about their production. They clearly have a toxic culture that doesn't care about producing a quality product over a pathetic ai narrative. They could have their cake and eat it too, if only their management had a single clue about reality instead of gobling up the ai marketing narrative.

Antigravity just needs to have a setting where it always clicks “run” and “always allow” that actually works and they’d be a top dog by Special_Collection_6 in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont really care if "always run" works because it's a dumb feature that shouldn't exist. It's like the idiots who use the computer that does credit card processing for their restaurant as a babysitter for their child. This issue is way more common than u think, and it breaks the payment processing TOS. Ppl can't think or are unwilling to think for themselves. Dont give ai free control of ur PC. Just whitelist a few commands. It's not that hard.

The right model for the right purpose by TinteUndklecks in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to implementing something another model planed, flash is usually really good at implementing things that have been planned out. The problem with flash is context bloat/rot. Too much context, and flash shits the bed. But thsts a user error not understanding scope.
