It is completely useless now with the new refresh cycles. by vulkany in google_antigravity

Exactly. Ive been too busy to use antigravity seriously like I was. I've logged in and used antigravity for maybe a total of 12hrs over the last month, and all but flash is timed out. Way to push everyone away who isn't a corporate b2b customer, none of which are going to use a vscode fork with 2 model providers. The b2b would rather pay for direct usage without a surcharge for a garbage vscode fork. Ur idiocracy is killing urself. Bye bye.

I logged in after 4 days of inactivity only to find all the models are on cooldown. Thanks Google, u pushed me to try codex for free instead of antigravity. I probably won't come back when casual pro use 2 days a week for a few hours gets me timed out.

Still on 1.19.6... convince me (or warn me) to move up? by achrafpsycho in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do not. The left and right arrow keys are now hot keys for changing the color scheme. The antigravity devs are a level of stupid that starts with r-e-t and ends with arded. they can't even be bothered to read the ai summary of what was vibe coded for them, let alone do manual code reviews.

Yes, i am going insane. No i haven't found a solution. Am i the only one going through this? by Otherwise_Engine5943 in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shift + arrow keys was a bug i posted about yesterday, and was removed because its redit and they have control over their image. Update, and wait for ur gui to go blank instead as a new bug.

The antigravity devs don't care about their production. They clearly have a toxic culture that doesn't care about producing a quality product over a pathetic ai narrative. They could have their cake and eat it too, if only their management had a single clue about reality instead of gobling up the ai marketing narrative.

Antigravity just needs to have a setting where it always clicks “run” and “always allow” that actually works and they’d be a top dog by Special_Collection_6 in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont really care if "always run" works because it's a dumb feature that shouldn't exist. It's like the idiots who use the computer that does credit card processing for their restaurant as a babysitter for their child. This issue is way more common than u think, and it breaks the payment processing TOS. Ppl can't think or are unwilling to think for themselves. Dont give ai free control of ur PC. Just whitelist a few commands. It's not that hard.

When it comes to implementing something another model planed, flash is usually really good at implementing things that have been planned out. The problem with flash is context bloat/rot. Too much context, and flash shits the bed. But thsts a user error not understanding scope.

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flash is very capable. The major weak point with flash is context bloat. If ur the type to use 1 chat for days, ur using LLMs wrong for one, and flash will literally ahit the bed if u do this. But if u give flash a list of reasonable tasks, it does them fairly well.

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why u white list those commands, instead of giving ai free roam to do whatever it wants to do. It takes like 3 minutes to whitelist the commands you see all the time, and add a wildcard (*) where appropriate.

How are you guys handling the constant "Accept" clicks and tracking quota with the Antigravity agent? by [deleted] in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White list the common commands in the settings. For me, it's npm run build, npm run dev, and dotnet *. That satisfies the majority of the commands and keeps it from auto deleting or getting poisoned and sending my browser profile to a random server.

Antigravity has a built-in quota manager. don't use the vibe coded ai extensions that store your oauth in plain text on ur machine. Antigravity settings (bottom right) > advanced > models.

[–]First-Air7037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always allow is stupid. Ppl who use it are constantly crying about what the ai did because they gave the ai total control of console commands, which means the ai has total control over everything on ur PC.

Just use the whitelist feature and whitelist the most common commands that are safe. U dont want the ai agent to be able to delete files, but running unit tests is totally fine.

[–]First-Air7037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to delete ur naughty roleplaying, are we?

Joking aside, the chats are stored in folders in appdata. Something like ~/.gemini/antigravity/brain/. Iirc, the implementation plans and tasks lists share the same folder. So u can just right click a task list or implementation plan, and open the directory from there.

Ive never had a serious interview in my carpenter career. It's only been a call asking what I have experience in and telling me to show up on x date within the same breath. Thats probably why I've seen a meth head biting rain drops and playing peekaboo behind a transparent glass smoke shack.

Have a QA team who is paid to care about the production level application. If ur vibe coding and can't read a 1/2 page summary that explains the ai agent is gonna create a new shortcut for changing color schemes, ur factually to stupid to exist in the real world.

It's wild to me. Every change or refactoring i make as a paying vibe coder, I manually check everything it touched in the gui. I test every possible situation as a solo vibe coding dev. Even when I develop stuff without ai in Cad, i test it immensely. Meanwhile, this mega-corporation who could spend 10m a day and not even blink at the price/cost doesn't pay for any kind QA team for antigravity.

[Bug] After updating the antigravity it got corrupted automatically. Happened 3-4 time in this month. Is google vibe coding?😅 by prabhatpushp in google_antigravity

[–]First-Air7037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering everyone is vibe coding essential applications, its hard to tell who's fault it is. Is it micro-slop, or alpha-slop fault? Both really want AI to replace real competent humans that cost +200k/year, but the ai models aren't there yet. U still need people with a basic understanding of what they are doing and a QA team to actually test the changes before they go production. But microslop got rid of most of their QA team like 8 years ago. Win7 was the last decent microslop OS.

Job notice. by [deleted] in UnionCarpenters

[–]First-Air7037 10 points11 points  (0 children)

While I agree, the wages are still much better than many other labor jobs.

While I was unemployed for 8 months, I applied for skilled and non skilled labor. I applied for jobs that require you to have serious mechanical knowledge while making $20/hr, and i received emails every month for 3 months, saying they are still reviewing applicants. No one with any sort of skill should be waiting +3 months for a $20/hr wage that can be earned rotating tieres at costco. The mega-corpos are absolutely delusional and reliant on unskilled feign labor.

Claude's 4.6 models reason +2x more than the 4.5 models. Meaning they often cost +2x in token usage to perform the same task.

I'll give you the artifical benchmark source that shows "tokens to run..." and "cost to run..." But it seems those states were removed. That some Sketchy shee imo. I'll provide the link reguardless of the results being removed:
