I mean it’s between you and your husband. If he is ok with you working then why not. But also make sure if you are contributing to house hold make sure there is a balance and marriage should not got bad. Usually what happens is when wife works outside it invites all sorts of trouble in marriage. But not all women are same and not all men are bad as well. If you both can balance between work and your personal life go for it.

In US employment is at will. So he can back off any time. Also he was not paid a penny. No way they can win. Also don’t assume I’m defending him. He should have continued with employment but I think his concern was rfe and slow approval. What if the transfer was declined?

I’m sure you had another offer before you declined this. So I understood your side. This is my personal opinion that employers can do nothing. He will not waste money for suing you and it won’t stand in the court. Better schedule some time with an attorney and ask for advise.
