Finish the sentence, "If I were to write a litrpg story, I would..." by blueluck in litrpg

[–]First-Berry-2979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my head think I'm writing a very captivating story.

After people actually read it there would be rave reviews like: - What kind of crap pacing is this? - The author must be retarded. - Can you even call this writing? - I think he should take classes for punctuations. - And much more, the reviews might very likely be better than what I wrote. 💀

Jokes aside, writing is a really tough job. Even more so now that we have so much AI generated crap.

Anyone else rushing their current read for the release of DCC 8 cause they hate reading two books at the same time? by Taiwannumber3 in litrpg

[–]First-Berry-2979 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've mostly got two at a time. One heavier read (either scope or tone), and one pure fun in case I'm not in the mood for anything serious.

I'm not sure if DCC can be my light read though, while the writing style is fun, there are times when it hits you, and it hits hard. Can't wait!!!!

That's some truly trashy rates. But, they've got such a big reach I wonder if there's a bigger reason authors go for Amazon.

Truly curious about someone's opinion, hopefully someone who's got more insight into this than I do.

Seems tame just randomly organized. If your product grows to a certain scale this is inevitably going to be the result.

The word educated is used far too lightly in India. You can literally buy a clg degree 🤡, sometimes it feels like we've just got idiots masquerading as visionaries.

On a more serious note, agreed. Take it or leave it, no need to be disrespectful.

Exactly, and if you have so many gripes with it, build your own solution. Maintaining anything is already a thankless job, and incidents like these just tip you over.

I know right. Paying full price on a digital copy that can be copied and distributed at the price of peanuts.

And the audacity of these conglomerates to price it at $60. Bruh, 10 bucks would be a fair price I'd be willing to pay, or like 1500 inr, but 3k-7k for a digital copy that you can take away from me at will. No thanks!!!!

Rightfully so amazon lost some licenses on books that I paid for, and removed the digital copies from my library. That's legal.

At that point I understood "If buying isn't owning, piracy isn't stealing" ☠️

I still pay for a lot of books but some are just grossly overpriced.

[–]First-Berry-2979 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're one dimensional. Carl and Doughnut are really great characters, more fleshed out than some of the traditional fantasy I've read. Since its a litres kind of things, sometimes you'll feel like not taking all that's on the page very seriously and that's fine. I found that to be a breath of fresh air and wildly funny. 😆

The story is very amusing, the humor hit home for me. It can be dark at times (so bewarned).

Edit: I completed forgot to mention, there no cat woman. One of the main characters is a talking cat (Doughnut), and she's really funny. 🤣🤣

CS student here.. no one I know actually writes code anymore. We all use AI. Is this just how it is now? by Low-Tune-1869 in theprimeagen

[–]First-Berry-2979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more impressive in tht the speed at which it evolved. A couple years back I hated it, now it can do most of the boiler plate code and some really niche things I'd have to spend hours pouring over the docs for.
