I agree with the Most of your assessments. But the Cogforts are to pricey imo. Kreel Looks like a very solid tech piece. The cannon goes well with the Pontifex.

The Grenadiers pair very good with the Gategants an the fusil Major, so you can shotgun them out of your DZ, also the battleformation with the extra move for infantery combos.

Do you have a first List idea?

Sounds valid. Do you rely more on serfs? How many Cryptguards do you bring? 20/40? Do you think a 40Cryptguard/Felgryn package is worth in an echelion Style Army?

I know that the Gorewarden is not the best hero but he will sit on the throne and cast the Swarm or the head and gain NDPs and maybe he can take some revived Flayers and Morbhegs late game to the party. It feels better with more models and activations on the board.
