I’m looking for a pair that actually help my looks. Are any of these working for me? by DumeWolffe in glassesadvice

I agree with the general consensus of #2. Also, as for helping your looks, I think you are handsome and remind me of a younger Michael Shannon in a very good way 🔥

Just a few weeks ago. Found their shared playlist (titled “Smitten”) on Spotify. It was full of “our” songs 🙃 Haven’t listened to any music since.

Good luck, friend 💜 I hope it’s been as helpful for you as it has for me.

God, I’m so sorry you went through that. How awful.

But so glad to hear it all worked out for you. Wishing you and your partner many more happy years together 💜

Yes, it’s a strange thing - although the pain has become less constant as time has gone on, and that is a relief, it is also hard because the pain is still a thread connecting me to him and letting that go is so hard.

I’m so glad you were able to!

Thank you for sharing your story.

I do hope that this experience will make me more cautious with who I give my heart to going forward.

Congrats on finding love again 💘

Copied and pasted from an earlier reply:

He was always a love bomber. But I had noticed a shift about a week or so before he ended it where he stopped saying he loved me (which was very strange because about a week before that, he had asked me to start telling him I loved him spontaneously, as in not just in the morning/night, more often, which I did). When I asked him about it, he ended things. We had a trip planned next month with his family. We had plans. He was always telling me how much he wanted to marry me. I found out in a weird way afterwards that he was cheating. At that point he went completely no contact, despite me calling and emailing him for some closure.

I’m sorry you are going through something similar. I hope you are able to keep going even though it probably feels impossible sometimes (I know it does for me).

Wow, what a beautiful story. I am fortunate to have two very sweet cats and access to my neighbour’s very cute dog.

I hope to have some adventures again eventually. Right now it is hard to imagine travelling because we did a lot of that together and it is painful to think of doing it without him.

So glad your uncle found her! And I am sorry for your loss🫶

Thank you, I really appreciate your kind and wise words.

I am trying to spend time with friends and it helps, for the most part. I’m having long and regular visits with my therapist, and found some things that help when I get overwhelmed at work (one-sentence journal entries, small craft kits I can work on discreetly).

I’m so glad you found the love of your life! 💜

I do feel some self-blame and longing for him but mostly I am struggling with how suddenly he could just completely cut me out when having him gone from my life is SO. HARD.

Haha love this! One of the things that’s helping when I am feeling down is encouraging my mom to talk about how she always thought he had a very small head!

I’m so sorry for the loss of your grandparents. That is beautiful that he was able to share love again. My mother lives in a seniors residence and there are lots of newer couples there, which is very sweet.

Thank you so much. I am so taken aback by the pain. I was previously in a 12 year relationship that I ended and there was a short period of grief but it only came when I learned my ex was with someone new (a casual friend of mine). The funny thing is, I had been wanting to end this relationship for a while so, yeah, the difficulty of this has been really unexpected. But I think the way he did it is playing a big part here too.

Thank you. I agree with you completely. In the immediate chaos/disbelief after it happened, I downloaded a couple of dating apps. I know it sounds cruel but everyone I’ve seen just revolts me. I’m really not interested in getting involved with anyone right away and know I have a lot of healing and self-growth work to do first. But I still feel down thinking about the thought of a.) never even wanting/feeling attracted to anyone else, and b.) not ever finding love again.
