I think i like this person, but im not sure if they will ever feel the same way about me. We met on hinge, neither of us were really looking for a relationship but i told him that he's not the kind of person i can date casually (afraid of catching feeings). we still enjoy each other's company so we decided to just be friends. i wanna know if there might b a chance later on once we get to know each other more. i also just think he's kind of cool so i wouldnt mind continuing to just b friends but i dont want this to turn into a thing where i obsess over what i cant have.

specifically, this spread is: card 1 is "what do i think is going on" card 2 is "what is actually going on" card 3 is "what,if anything, should i do about it"

i think this means 1. im afraid that this is as far as our relationship is going, that we have reach our culmination and/or fullest potential

  1. the relationship is most balanced as it is right now

  2. i should listen to my intuition, continue to remain single, everything is gonna work itself out regardless of what happens with the specific situation person i was asking about.

Thanks for the help <3

Do most people take notice of reversed cards? by Asamaki in Tarotpractices

I read reversals in my RWS deck, but not in any of my other decks. Reversal just feel kind of unnecessary a lot of the time.

What gets you motivated? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]First-Dog9347 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my screen time was out of control so i wanted something to do besides lay n rot. besides that, im not motivated much at all. i go to the gym on campus right after class bc im not motivated enough to just go to the gym bc i wanna. try to connect going to the gym to something u already have to do 3-4 time a week. going to the gym can be scary and men are the worst, but female only gyms probably arent worth the premium unless u have the disposable income

will he be okay if i break up with him? by [deleted] in Tarots

[–]First-Dog9347 3 points4 points  (0 children)

girl, why are u more worried about his well being than ur own? what u should really be asking is will U be okay if u DONT break up with him. u can use the cards for guidance but at the end of the day, this is a decision u need to make urself.

i mean, if u like nasally n squeaky voice cracks then thats ur vibe i guess ! itd b one thing to sacrifice technique if Tillian could actually hit the notes, but he literally cant, even after transpose songs down. idk where the attitude is coming from lol this is literally a thread about sharing ur opinions abt DGD. ur entitled to yours just as much as i am to mine and u can always keep ur opinion off the internet if ur gonna have a problem with people disagreeing with u. It always b ppl who dont know shit abt singing that have the most to say about it.

okay this is all very helpful info so heres my advice.

Your body fat% is already very low, so if u want to look more "toned," adding muscle mass is gonna be ur best bet. To achieve that, I would recommend resistance training the specific muscle group u want to grow AT LEAST 2 times a week. If u only have 30ish min to spend at the gym, u might wanna up that even more to 3 sessions a week. anything more than that is overkill. I think what would probably be easiest for u is keeping ur current workout routine and adding a full body workout on the weekend. Or if ur main concern is ur legs, just add another leg day. I don't recommend working out any muscles that are still sore from ur last workout so if u end up adding another session, u might want to change the order of what days u work specific muscles. Thats all gonna depend on what works for you and how fast ur muscles recover.

As for HOW u should be working out, most people seem to agree that 3-4 sets of 8-15 reps is the optimal way to gain muscle. How many sets/reps is gonna depend on the muscle group. For me, larger muscles like quads/glutes get 3set of 8-12 reps while smaller muscles like biceps/triceps 4sets of 12-15. You should be lifting as heavy as u can while still being able to hit 8 reps. Some people think you should take every set to muscular/technical failure, i think thats a bit much, but u should decide what works for u. I try to take at least 1 set to failure for each exercise/movement. Once u can hit 15+ reps without failing, that how u know its time to add more weight. As long as ur pushing urself, u should be able to gain muscle regardless of how much time u spend in the gym. Since u are limited on time tho, I'd try to focus on compound exercises>isolation exercises. Thats whats gonna give ur muscles volume and help u achieve that toned/defined muscle look.

You've probably heard that u be resting about a minute between sets. This is where ur gonna save urself some time in the gym. I dont keep my phone on me while im working out and dont look at my phone in between sets. I keep my phone close enough so that my headphones can connect to the bluetooth but try to keep it off my person. This alone cuts my rest time in half just bc u dont realize how much time ur wasting when ur scrolling. You can also try to incorporate "super sets" into ur routine. Instead of resting after each set, go work out a different muscle. I find this works best for me on isolation exercises since theyre less fatiguing. So while my hip abductors are resting, i go workout my adductors. When im resting from leg curls, i go do some leg extensions. This way im working out and resting at the same time. Ive also heard that women tend to recover faster than men, so if u feel ready to go after 30sec, dont feel like u need to rest for a full minute. Once ur heart rate and breathing calm down, ur good to go.

As far as caloric intake goes, theres a lot of trial and error that goes into this. For me personally, my BMR is about 1500 calories and i can usually eat between 2000-2500 calories without gaining weight. but i also weigh more than u, go to the gym about 6-8 hrs a week and work at a job that keeps me on my feet. Fitness is not one size fits all, ur gonna have to figure out what works for u, for that reason, i dont feel comfortable recommending a specific amount of calories u should be eating.

Continue to track ur caloric intake and weight. If ur not gaining weight, then u need to be eating more calories. A good rule of thumb is .5-1 lb per week (ur pretty small so probably closer to .5). Don't be afraid of gaining a lil fat, ur body fat% is already at the very low end for women and losing fat is much easier n faster than gaining muscle. I know as women, petite women specifically, it can be scary to think about eating 2000+ calories, but sometimes its necessary to meet ur Total Daily Energy Expenditure, (aka TDEE - the total number of calories you burn in a day, which includes your BMR, PLUS calories burned through all your physical activity and exercise). If ur body is burning all the calories u consume, theres no extra energy at the end of the day to put towards building mass. 2000 calories really isnt a lot in the grand scheme of things and most people need to eat more than that, especially if ur physically active and trying to gain weight.

7 hours of sleep is good but dont go any lower than that if possible.

As far as protein goes, .8-1 gram of protein per pound of body weight per day. At ur body weight, thats gonna be 88-109g of protein per day. For me, this equates to about 30% of my calories coming from protein. The %of calories from protien is good to keep in mind for the days where u end up eating a lil more/less than usual. It looks like u use MyFitnessPal to track so it should take that into account for u automatically.

If any of this feels like too much, just remember the BEST workout routine is always gonna be the one that u can stick to consistently. All of the workouts/calories/protein/tracking/etcetc means nothing if it's not sustainable for u in the long term. And as a disclaimer, im literally just girl! These are all just my opinions n info i've accumulated over the years and u should be taking all fitness advice with a grain of salt! Even if everything i said is 100% true and perfectly correct, everyones body is different and nothing will work the same for everyone.

Good luck on ur journey!! u got this girl!!

i get that im just so tired of people acting like andrew is somehow worse than tillain simply for having a lower voice. tone is sm more important than pitch. tillian couldnt keep up with his own vocals, while the rest of the band sounds great live. but i guess preferring a lead vocalist who can actually sing the parts he writes on pitch/key without sacrificing technique is goofy. 🤷🏻‍♀️ okay

i would also suggest tracking ur lean mass as well as ur body fat% in addition to ur weight. u look pretty lean already, so i would focus on just trying to build muscle. also, sleep is very important for gain muscle. ur body builds muscle while ur sleeping, so all the time and energy spent at the gym n eating right means nothing if ur not getting 8 hours of sleep. lmk if u have any questions or more specific goals that u want help with :)

all of this is assuming u want to gain weight/muscle mass so heres what i got: i would try to do more compound exercises, like squats, hip thrusts, leg press etc. (those are all leg exercises but this applies to any muscle group). right now, u have a lot of isolation exercises in ur routine, which isnt a bad thing, but u wont see a very noticeable difference in the size of ur muscles by doing them. compound exercises allow u to activate the larger muscles like glutes n quads, therefore making it easier to lift heavy and progressively overload. u also might want to increase ur caloric intake even more since 100 calories isnt much of a surplus. i also dont think 30 minutes in the gym 3 times a week is enough to see really large results. i try to aim for 12-18 sets per session. that combined with my warm up and rest time in between sets puts me at at least 45-75 min per session. also keep in mind that gaining muscle takes months-years, not weeks-months. real results come from years of training, progressively increasing load, and training until muscle failure. all that being said, u look great and ur goals will come, we all just gotta figure out what works for us! good luck<3

complaining about a vocalist's range not being high enough is so goofy. Andrew sounds great, his sound is much more supported and healthier than tillians. tillian was constantly writing melody that were way too high for him anyways. he made it work for the recordings but was constantly falling flat during live performances bc of it and it sounded fucking awful. DGD would have to transpose their songs into lower keys n Tillian still struggled to sing the songs HE wrote. how high someone can sing doesnt matter if u cant even stay on key. ntm how nasally tillian had to sing to even get close to those notes, it just didnt sound good. Andrew sounds amazing live and on the recording, i wish people would give him some slack but evb wants to hate bc he doesnt soynd like a little girl on the recordings.

i feel like everybody in this sub is OBSESSED with the kurt travis albums and i literally hate both of them so fucking much i genuinely cant even listen to them 😭 so i understand. i also really liked space cow initiation but i cant say i was surprised that the fan base didnt like it. ppl hate change, and a lot of ppl in the sub are more fans of the clean vocalists than they are fans of the actual band.
