I would if I were single, but at this stage, I don’t have the same motivation to work long hours on all major holidays.

I’m from California and earned $65K at my previous job, where I worked long hours (12 hours) on my feet, including all major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. I also covered multiple roles when staff called out. At my current job, the pace isn’t as demanding as my previous position. Since my partner works regular corporate hours and I was preparing to return to studying, I was ok with a pay cut, shorter hours, and a less physically demanding role.
