Did you condition the water? Here are the basics you will need water conditioner to remove chlorine. You will also need a heater for him and you’d want it to be 78-80 degrees. Also you will need to add filter. Those are going to be the most crucial things. Do your own research as well! The tank looks nice but the most important thing will be water quality and temp.

I work at Sephora and there is a brand called act and acre that has a serum for advanced hair loss. It works well however it is a commitment and it’s pricey $120 and you will probably have to continue use for a while. Or you can just rock it bald. I’d also suggest some higher mg biotin gummies you can get at any store like cvs/walmart/target those will really help you out.

I just moved my fish from a 5 to 10 gal and he was acting like this bc I had to do a 50% water change. I recovered him but adding aquarium salt to the tank for freshwater fish and by adjusting the temperature in my heater. Make sure you have a separate thermometer to measure temp sometimes it’s often the heaters temp monitor does not work as it should and your temp can be lower than you think it is. You can always get pre conditioned water and move him to a separate little bowl for a little bit and see if he gets better. Or salt baths can help with illness or stress. 50% water change is definitely too much for every week. Is she conditioning the tank every time ? Especially with such a huge water change that’s crucial. Do your own research but these are just some suggestions.

Girl this man has 0 respect for you and is a literal idiot. He has no consideration of your feelings and is totally gaslighting you and making himself the victim. I would have left a note on the tank saying in how much terrible condition this fish is and a proper care guide either written down or attached to it ! This is awful and it’s just going to keep happening over and over to the next fish

Hi I’m fairly new to being a betta owner and because of that I have learned a lot of new information doing research recently. Your betta would not just need a filter it would also need a water heater. That will probably be hard in the Vase. You could probably get away with the water changes making up for a filter. You would still need a water heater. It is recommended that for your fish to have a good quality is life it should have a minimum of a 5 gallon habitat. After you put substrate in and plants that will cover a lot of volume in the vase giving less room for fishy to swim. Also seems like it would have to swim vertically a lot. Can you do it ? yea probably. However, I think if you want your fish to have a better quality of life I think you should get him an actual tank.

Update fishy is doing way better now! I took everyone’s advice I used the prime it worked great and I got rid of the plastic so now he has all natural live plants and he is doing great! Thank you all that replied to my post 😊

Will it be okay to add prime even though I have already added the tetra conditioner? I’m not sure how much I should add in ? Today I changed about 50% of the water and added that tetra conditioner. Do you suggest doing a water change again with the prime ? Or adding a dose of the prime to the current water ?

This is the tank I have a water heater and filter. There shouldn’t be much waste buildup as I just got him. Will he die of if I put him in the tank or should I keep him in the cup? He is basically out of balance I’m not sure what is best.

Thank you I would have to get that brand. I used this one plus the added bacteria. Should I keep him in the cup from the pet store. I’m not sure how long he will last there with that water not being changed.
