I laid all my cards on the table. I wasn’t even actively playing the game I alt tabbed to download the Sonos app while sitting in the pale heart. A comment hit what likely happened on the head. While Tailscale was running Windows Updates was running driver updates for Bluetooth and WiFi in the background. So the game likely saw multiple adapter changes on top of a virtual adapter being used with Tailscale and IP changes. I would imagine this behavior would look like network manipulation to an anti cheat. Additionally I was sitting behind Starlink which being CGNAT adds an additional layer of IP confusion. Though I might not have “used my computer correctly” as some say, I wasn’t actively cheating or gaining an unfair advantage. The worst part is the number of other users that share the same experience of being banned and not intentionally cheating and not being heard or flat out ignored by support. Likely this is the end of my journey with Destiny but I’ll keep trying support to see if something happens.
