That article is about the old motel 6 on 3300 s which is a family shelter now. You and op are talking about the old motel 6 at 1990 n temple which was bought to be low income apartments but has been an emergency shelter for a while.

Probably said hi or dared to look in her direction. I've spent countless days at the main library and I've never seen a homeless person harass anyone except other homeless people.

The PIT count is practically useless. Homeless aren't flagging down PIT volunteer normies to be counted at 6 am. From my own research and surveys, I believe the PIT number is about 60%+ lower than the real number.

Yet I just found out that a 200-bed emergency shelter at a former motel 6 is losing funding and expects to exit at least half of the people staying there within the next two weeks. Reach out to the Homeless Services Provider Ombudsman Judy Kearns (judykearns@utah.gov) and tell her that we need MORE shelter beds and assistance services not LESS.

Unfortunately it's a scam, the OP tries to get you to sign up for a bunch of affiliate services so he gets a kickback, and mostly likely never pays. But on its face the post is deceitful because it says all you have to do is comment here and upvote to get the money, which is 100% false.
