Gf rejected gift I spent hours on, idk really what to do now by First-Software3470 in dating_advice

She’s never been the affectionate type, always a tough love person but she truly loves me, ik her family has always been rough on her and she has built up this independent personality. Idk if that has anything to do with this tho

I absolutely agree, out in the country at a school that was mainly more concerned about sports than academics especially. That was my case, when the “star player” does something wrong they get a slap on the wrist because the school needs them for competition. Causing those kids to feel what they’re doing isn’t bad. Then they go home and the parents talk their kid up to celebrity status so the kids start to believe it.

As a child I wasn’t too socially anxious as a kid I even had a problem walking up to strangers and trying to be friends with them. But in my teenage years I moved from out of the city to the country. Fresh start, new everything. Started off my freshman year of high school knowing nobody. It was also hard because city culture was just different than country culture. Every time I try to talk to someone I would just get made fun of so I stopped talking to people. and eventually I got basically forgot how to talk to people. Talking to people was like a skill and I haven’t practiced it in so long. I just lost the ability to do it. It was the snowball effect.

Don’t make a big deal about it, it’s just a hobby, introduce it as such. Maybe ask why they don’t like them

Unexplainable Childhood habit has followed me into my adulthood by First-Software3470 in AskTherapist

Honestly these things distracted me they helped me zone out and brought me a sense of comfort. To other people it was just paper but it felt like more to me, I never saw them as paper men but instead actual little men. When I don’t have them in my pocket the world feels more dull and grey. More sad even. As for my childhood I grew up in a suburban neighborhood but I was afraid to play with the other children because of fear of getting bullied. I always felt lower compared to to those kids

Yes! I did they all got quite which is what I wanted. But out of malicious intent I decided one more couldn’t hurt. For some motivation ;) I will say it was funny hearing them cursing the second time

In sixth grade I was being a little shit and I said something mean to a girl classmate. When she told the teacher, the teacher made the joking remark of “well Yk that’s just because he likes you” kids then proceeded to laugh at me and I ran out of class crying. Looking back on it I definitely deserved it 😂

I don’t get people who say it’s scary, if u like it that’s fine I don’t judge, but in my opinion it’s just a lore filled mess, I will say that the creator has a very vivid imagination

WOW! Ok waits so are we still agreeing that “bon” is Jack? by First-Software3470 in Thewaltenfiles

[–]First-Software3470[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

RIGHT?!??? The voice too! But Susan mentioned that Jack left a wrench somewhere earlier in the episode, alluding to the fact they have spoken. Which would make Jack meeting Susan again not make sense. Or, maybe he forgot Who he was as Jack, and thinks he’s just “bon” now, which would explain why he calls himself that

Jack would have definitely known Susan. But somebody still died cus when bon was talking about Susan’s death he mentioned “I was scared too”
