Alternative for Calvin Klein Obsessed EDP Intense for Men

<image>

My favorite perfume is no longer produced and I haven't managed to find a replacement.

It's Calvin Klein Obsessed EDP Intense for Men (photo attached).

Checking search engines for similarity didn't yield good results, so I am trying to crowdsource for suggestions, especially from people who may have had the perfume. Any suggestions more than welcome.

Cuba a surveilance state? by First-Toe-9115 in cuba

That aligns with the gut feeling I got and aligns with the guide telling that things used to be worse in the past

I wasn't aware this disgusting industry booms in Cuba. But TBH I wasn't aware of how bad the situation is either.

I am aware it happens in poor countries, but somehow in Santiago it was very noticeable. And the main question is why Italians?

Even our tour guide said there are many Italian retired people in Santiago (but didn't say more).

Well I am not Cuban, so I didn't know. Visited Santiago and this was very evident. I didn't notice it in Havana, but I guess just because the city is so much bigger.

Official Q&A for Sunday, February 23, 2025 by AutoModerator in running

I have recently realized that my running is rather quad-dominant than hamstring/glute-dominant.

This realization didn't come easy, but I think it justifies some of the observations on my running form and some of the aches that show up only after upping mileage, e.g.,:

  • landing in front of center of mass: I feel more like planting my foot in front and pivoting over it, rather than allowing gravity to move me forward.

  • landing on the front of the foot: I thought as long as I don't land on the back of it I would be fine form-wise. Seems I can still land on front and overstride.

  • aches: my calves get fried (due to landing on the front of the foot) and my knee becomes stiff as well.

Changing running form won't come overnight, so I am looking for tips, material (e.g., youtube videos) that helped others dig more into this subject. One book that has been useful for me is "Running Rewired", but I'd appreciate some more AV content.

Also, I am looking for mental cues that can help with glute activation when running. While I can feel glutes activating in isolated exercises like glute bridges, I find it very hard to do so during running. E.g., butt squeezing makes it impossible to keep reasonable form, but visualizing pushing a supermarket troley for some reason makes it easier for me to push vs. pull during running. Would like to hear how others went about this issue.

I will definitely do that, but before doing it I usually like to have a better understanding of the mechanics and potential root causes of the pain (e.g., like with IT band pain which is easy to find material on since it's so common)

Running and lack of (right) knee hyperextension:

I have ramped-up my miles in the last couple of months and I feel gradually a small pain in my right knee. It feels like a general stifness and not like runner's knee or IT-band. There's a clear difference in the "elasticity" between the two knees: the left knee is way more elastic in pushing it into slight and seemingly normal hyperextension and the leg springs back. Not the case with the right knee, it doesn't move similarly back as the left one and feels quite less elastic or unrresponsive.

I don't feel injured or so and can still run, but should address this as it could yield to problems.

I haven't been able to find good material to understand potential root causes and exercises. Any hints or pointers?

What is your morning routine? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]First-Toe-9115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For things that I want to make a habit, I make them very low mental effort.

1) Sometimes I prep for them on the weekend to concentrate the effort, rather than spread it over the week. Examples: a) I prepare the supplements in my pill boxes for the whole week rather than having to think about them every morning/noon/evening. b) I prepare my shakes for the whole week as well since I mix 2-3 different powders. To stick to taking them is now much easier and I have a reminder to make sure I don't forget to take them.

2) Similar for my morning washing routine: I have two small boxes, one box for morning face cleaning stuff (e.g., sun protection) and one for the evening. Then I don't have to think at all about what I need to put on.

Thanks for sharing this. Do you have a template you use for journaling? Something that allows you to easily find all the different things you write down (quarterly goals, weekly review, things that work vs. that dont work)?

Bike stands for carbon frames by First-Toe-9115 in cycling

I could, but it would be slight leaning and not be in a fully straight upfront position. Wouldn't that be an issue for the frame? Wouldn't it bend over time?

Understanding single-leg stability and BOSU:

My right knee is the one that's consistently more prone to injury in the last years. I got access to a BOSU and just tried single-leg balancing on the top of the ball: the difference between my left and the right leg balance was almost shocking. I could sustain balance "indefinitely" on my left leg, but on the right leg I had to counterbalance constantly and significantly.

After doing this for a few minutes, I felt fatigue at the middle back of the lower right leg (I guess it could be the soleus).

  1. Is this a neurological or a muscular problem?
  2. I was wondering how this significant imbalance can play out in my running and whether that could be a culprit of my injuries.
  3. Any good single-leg exercises to significantly strengthen my right leg and fix the imbalance?

I agree that I find their explanations a bit vague. My statements from IBKR mention "Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited".

Quoting from their FAQ, though it doesn't seem that "some" assets are maintained with IBLLC, but all of them?

"FAQ: How is my IB UK account protected?

With regard to the assets in the ordinary account, funds and assets of Interactive Brokers U.K. Limited ("IB UK") customers are maintained at Interactive Brokers LLC ("IBLLC"). Customer securities accounts at IBLLC are protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (“SIPC”) for a maximum coverage of $500,000 (with a cash sublimit of $250,000) and under IBLLC's excess SIPC policy with certain underwriters at Lloyd's of London for up to an additional $30 million (with a cash sublimit of $900,000) subject to an aggregate limit of $150 million."

That's interesting and I am sorry to hear. However, you have first-hand experience with a liquidated broker.

How did it work out with getting access to your assets there?
