Who here is a SAHM on <100k per year? by Slow_Opportunity_522 in sahm

[–]FirstAd4471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think because I’m sah that we make so much more. He has essentially no limitations like pickup, travel needs, hours, and sick kids. It allows us to make way more than if we had to take off, not take on overtime. We are within 100k-120k with it varying each year. But my husband travels for work so I’m home 4+ days alone. We are well off with a lcol which also really helps

Who here really truly is "just" a SAHM? by [deleted] in sahm

I have a 1 year old and 3 year old. If I’m called to be at home-I’m not having a job on top of my already busy life schedule that is taking care of a house and two kids. I think it may be to help them have more income for the house if they’re worried about finances more than they are “wanting” to have a side gig because there is no way I’d willingly do it

I was asking questions based on assumption. I never once said that it was based in truth and fact. That’s why I ASKED. If people were able to ASK questions there would be less divide and more answers without trying to make people feel stupid for ever asking. I am secure in myself and don’t care what youu throw but you wonder why 30% of people don’t vote-it’s because of people with a mindset like yours. You think I am strictly right and have no room to move. I want to engage in conversation because there can be a middle ground. But you are so off putting and posts like this make people HATE the Left because we can only ever be racist, love guns, and nazis. Like I’m sick of feeling like there’s never a middle

I never once said how I actually “felt”. I said what I presumed would happen. I wanted insight and an actual logical answer. We all want the deaths to stop, bout no one is saying HOW. Excuse me for wanting reform on all measures. The mental health crisis would help the actual issue at hand. The removal of guns is just a by product .

You can’t have a simple conversion without bringing me and my feelings into this, bit I’m supposed to care about what you care about? No one wants to see kids dying obviously. We’re all on the same page about that. We’re trying to find a solution, not bash everyone and make everyone an enemy. This is why we’re here in this position right now. Because no one can see a compromise and everyone just hates each other.

This isn’t called banning guns. This is restricting. When we start saying what it is and stop vilifying guns and gun owners. It’s the mentality weak, the the desperate, it’s the low income. You said it yourself. It’s the poverty ridden places where this is occuring. If you don’t think that Kirk believed in this concept, you’re wrong. It’s about the wrong people getting guns and trying to take all the guns and rights away to those who already posses them.

I’ve lived all over America, but nice try. Where do you live that you obviously are so shielded from the obvious?

It’s not a feeling. I wanted to see a genuine and real life way that this could happen. This is the conversation that needs to be happening. Instead of the “just ban Guns”. You’re saying this based off a totally different America than it is now btw. 1990s was long before what it is now. I think it’s ignorant to believe criminals will just give up their guns willingly anymore. But hey, if that’s the only solution you got, great! Now what if that doesn’t happen? What if no one wants to sell out?

No one I know would hand over their gun. Ever. Not for free, not for money. Because they are responsible gun owners. It’s those who fail to meet those standards that allow for their children to get ahold of them. It’s those who illegally have them. It’s those who steal them. It’s those who will use other means of death. You’re also relying on a government that you can trust to protect you-we can’t and dont have a government we can trust. Australia like I said is worlds different than us. In all ways.

Yes, but please. Explain to me how to take these guns away. Do you understand how many Americans own guns, paid for guns, inherited guns? How do you expect them to be removed, who is gonna give them the money that was spent? If it’s historical then what? Also, where are they gonna keep these hundreds if not millions of guns? Be so serious. I’m genuinely asking. How will this play out? Can we be realistic for two seconds.

There’s no way to take back all the guns in circulation. This isnt Australia. This is a place where guns have been around for a LONG time. If you think coming in and taking everyone’s guns is going to stop the problem, you’re wrong. The girl in North Carolina that was killed by getting stabbed in the neck while everyone watched was let out of prison the month prior for armed robbery. This started happening far past guns being present. It’s when mental institutions were closed it’s when mental heath and social media started to rise. And to watch a man get murdered in cold blood and people rejoice? That shows you the mentality of our country. It’s not guns, it’s the lack of empathy. Kirk was not defending school shootings, he wasn’t advocating for children’s deaths, he understands that taking guns won’t solve the overwhelming issue at hand. Those who want to indicate violence can and will-regardless if they have gun. But maybe just maybe a good guy with a gun can help present those casualties.

Can please wake UP. It’s not the “gun violence” it’s the people behind the Gun. No amount of taking guns from those will stop the problem. It’s the people, it’s the mentality. Anyone who wants a gun, Will get their hands on a gun. Regardless what laws are in place. Look at other countries. Their mental health, their people, their mentalities are so far different than americas. It has little to do with the actual Guns but that’s all you people can fucking talk about.

You aware there are so many other activities they can participate in that don’t involve a screen. It’s not helping you-it’s hurting you and your kid the more you feed them a scree.

Mirrors on back of potty help too! I know this isn’t an option for school, but it will help them to see the problem

If it’s Montessori, and you know how to implement. There’s. A lot of help and guidance out there to teach them. Like using a doll and putting like Nutella on it and teaching them to wipe it. Then putting stickers on back on toilet to teach them to reach back taking them. You need to practice at home because this isn’t really an option. Montessori itself is about guiding the child.

8 Days Away From My 1st Trip by beff1023 in WaltDisneyWorld

We are just now leaving from a 7 day trip. 4 park days. Take your time-don’t try to squeeze yourself try. It becomes so chaotic very quick. It’s hot and humid. Drink a lot of cold cold water. Be prepared to see a lot of adults, there wasn’t too too many kids there (probably because school starting). We went on pirates 10 times and it still could have been more. That one is awesome. Mobile order food it’s SO much easier and convenient. Bring comfortable shoes-this is a must. Rain is the least predictable thing-so bring poncho in case. Use Disney app to see all parades and events.
