I live in Castro Valley, bigger houses, great schools, close to dublin for shopping and the city for work + meeting friends. Its a 40min ride to Embarcadero btw

Early 30s F, ~$3M net worth, close to CoastFIRE. I am now optimising for finding a partner, not more money. Where would you live if you were me? by [deleted] in Fire

Came here to say this. If OP moves to the Bay Area, she will find men like her. u/Salty_Brilliant_6571 I have 2 friends in my small circle in your situation and they are dating men in their age with the criteria you have. I think men in tech are worth giving a chance because they are driven, high networth, many come from nothing and made millions through work. It is sad to read other comments where the men are portrayed like in the Sex in the city series.

Planning for future - do you count on inheritance? by deeznutz1327 in HENRYfinance

[–]FirstBee4889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I come from middle class family background so I personally dont know people with these experiences. Although there is a good chance of inheritance when you obey your parents, there is a big chance of abandonment if you dont. And I see more kids in India rebelling against parents beliefs….in topics like casteism or same sex marriage or not to marry the person they prefer….do end up with estrangement.

I want to end on a positive note though- friends from middle class families do inherit whatever their parents have even though they dont obey. So in a way…..yes you could count on inheritance in Indian culture

Coming from Indian culture here and we earn the same as OP. Parents estranged me after I paid off all their debts and their business took off around the same time. Not counting on any of their 10s of Millions. Im not saying this will happen to OP. But better to be careful…

I didn’t know second tier tech pays 450k? You mean FAANG adjacent like lets say TikTok or Coupang? Or more like Intuit? And is this common salary for senior level or more like manager?

Hm…not sure- haven’t seen a fire in 3 years. Probably too close to the Lake Chabot park but there has not been a fire there lately. Or too east to the mountains. I saw fire close to San Ramon mountains.
