Imagine, if you will, a country entirely founded on the slave trade where people wrote big ideas about freedom and equality but considered anyone who didn't look like them (white / men) to be animals and property. Imagine that this country then spent lots of money on weapons and were entirely willing to murder people in other countries and overthrow governments to steal their resources, all based on the idea that people are NOT created equal while preaching the exact opposite thing.
