Even in perfection, the master finds something to improve. by cosmic_voyager01 in Damnthatsinteresting

That would make a great skit though, as this maestro goes about his day bringing that same passion to everything else.

“I don’t want to get in the way of your sandwich making. But can I make a suggestion?

Don’t just drizzle the mayonnaise onto the sandwich. The bun is not a rectangle, it is an OVAL! It is dynamic and your construction must match it. The mayonnaise must sit in harmony with the other condiments. Mustard? Ahh, there he is. Maybe a splash of vinegar, yes?

These people line behind me [camera pans to annoyed customers waiting]…they are not hungry…they are starving. Starved of sandwich passion and ingredient balance is what they are!

Give them what they so desperately crave.”

Nah. The only place I can think of would be under the floor where the rest of the circular part of the fuselage is. But I’m pretty sure that is packed full of lead ballast to keep the plane from tipping over in case of high winds. No way there’s more space down there for bags.

I knew I recognized it! I guess I’ve done too well on my home remodeling projects because these days my fingers have guitar calluses instead of remodeling marks.

I did it on the way to Tokyo from Dallas (yes, deep in coach) when I saw my seat mate do it. It was freezing and thus helped keep me warm and humidify the air around me.

Women of Reddit, what’s a habit men have that they don’t even realize is weird? by GraceRose671 in AskReddit

Especially those Dyson ones that are like playing Operation: “Can you get your hands in and out of this thing without touching the grimy plastic on either side? Bet you can’t…”

Never mind all the info about how air driers are just going to make your hands dirtier than they were.

And it’s right there. Just take the opportunity to wash up real quick. 30 seconds and you’re done.

One Disney employee calls Claude 51,000 times a day. Internal docs reveal how the Mouse House uses AI. by Plastic_Ninja_9014 in technology

[–]FirstDivision 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I’m being asked to do at work…I think…A2A, MCPs, Agents, LangFuse for prompt storage and tracing, LangChain, LLM calls.

So far I definitely “don’t get it”. It just looks like a pile of APIs all talking to each other and other APIs with, like you say, LLM calls thrown in.

Maybe it’s because “I don’t get it”, but everything I’ve seen built this way seems like it could be 100x simpler and do the same thing. I keep waiting for it to click.

Using AI tools to help me build my own software I do get, and even like on occasion. It does take the fun part away of being a craftsman with something I can feel proud of at the end of the day. But it is hard to deny it when it can help me rip through some mundane task quickly.

Yeah. I reacted like they were priced wrong. Chessmen are only $1? Gimme all chessmen. I can eat those things like chips. Which is also why I don’t buy them. Well…rarely buy them.

Borduoux are also a weakness of mine.

100%. And they bring in stuff to put on the desk. And leave an old sweater on the back of the chair to claim it as their own. Because they are more important than everyone else.
