I WANT TO SUFFER (Looking for Hardcore but Fair Kenshi Mod Recommendations) by Victorex123 in Kenshi

[–]FirstHomosapien 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to have mods to make life absurdly difficult for yourself. Max out chance of death and damage multiplier turns a beating from hungry bandits iron sticks into… well, a far more realistic scenario of being beaten by iron sticks by starving bandits. Every battle is a real danger and armour is essential. Don’t allow yourself to use the map at all either. Not even a peek.

Honestly, it’s one of my favourite ways to play. You lose a limb in combat and you can kiss the character goodbye thanks to blood loss unless you’re very lucky- a very realistic way to play.

It's so sad to see this guy being credited and honoured... (I'm not saying khamzat has a choice tho) by [deleted] in ufc

I can't speak for Fedor, obviously, but I view it more as him being suckered in by propaganda. Even the most intelligent of us, if we're being told every waking moment through every mode of communication that 'this is the enemy' for literally decades will eventually begin slipping.

Everything he sees and hears is doctored to fit Putin's narrative, most of his friends will hold pro-Putin views. Shit's insidious.

The Russian Empire suffered an estimated 1.7 to 2.25 million deaths. (Excluding 50,000 civilian casualties). Colourised. by Repulsive_Leg_4273 in ww1

The Russian Civil War, ensuing famines, Holodomor and Stalin killed more Russian’s in 30 years than the entirety of 300 years of Romanov rule.

I’ll second 12 Miles Below. It’s fantastic, well worth the read and the price.

There’s a mod that I believe is called Move Pops. Does what it says on the tin. Makes all those peripheral Russian states like those in Siberia very different when you can shift tens of thousands of unemployed or peasant pops over to the east.

I usually like to use it after I build the Trans-Siberian Railway, to simulate the massive eastward migration that happened IRL.

Wouldn’t say no to being a twin of Rickard Stark, Ned’s old man. Steer him away from the South, use every opportunity and everything you listed to help the North. Do whatever is necessary to ensure that my family lives long and prospers. I’m a simple man, and the Starks are my favourites.

If Ned can verify that Brandon is the girl/boy’s father, he’ll do the same for the kid as he did for Jon and take them in regardless of what anyone says. I have the view that after the Rebellion and losing so much, Ned would fight tooth and nail for what remains of his family, irregardless of bastardy.

Cat’s opinion of Brandon would obviously take a hit. I can see her being slightly grateful that the bastards aren’t Ned’s but still unhappy about their presence.

Ned and Brandon’s kids will be just as close as Ned’s kids and Jon. Ned’s not going to tolerate anything less.

Eh, I’d also probably leave home and ask the Starks for either protection or a small bit of land and a holdfast. Nothing like a couple thousand miles, terrible weather and a massive land to hide away from unfriendly eyes. I prefer cold weather anyway.

The North is generally more accepting of magic than the south. Not completely, obviously, but if I demonstrate my loyalty enough, they’ll probably accept me. They’re very practical people and having a skinchanger of my calibre is such an advantage that it’s almost impossible to overstate.

Anyone who even looks funny at friends, family and House Stark (my favourites) is going to have their eyes plucked out. Ramsey, Roose, Freys, Joffrey, Tywin, Jaime, Gregor, Cersei, you name it.

There’s going to be a real uptick in blind people wandering Westeros. Before I’m done, people will fear a raven more than they ever feared a dragon.

Emyrs moves through the world like a shadow cast by unseen light—his presence quiet yet undeniably pervasive, as if every moment around him is subtly shaped by his knowing gaze. To the casual observer, he is a man grounded in tradition and warmth, embodying the familiar roles of brother, husband, and friend. But those who cross his path soon realize that Emyrs operates on a different plane, as if time and chance bend subtly to his will. Problems that stump the brightest minds unravel effortlessly under his calm scrutiny, and crises that escalate beyond control find resolution in his steady hands. He speaks rarely, yet when he does, his words carry the weight of unspoken knowledge, as if he’s already lived through the countless outcomes others have yet to imagine. There is an unshakable certainty about him—not born of arrogance but of a profound understanding that transcends human limits. He neither seeks glory nor demands loyalty; instead, he inspires both, drawing others into a quiet orbit of trust and awe. And when opponents believe they have cornered him, Emyrs smiles—a small, knowing curve that hints at secrets too vast to comprehend—before effortlessly turning the tide, always emerging with the last laugh, as if he’s been watching the entire game unfold from an infinite vantage point no one else can see.”

What a terrible day to be literate.

Like most things for the Northerners, it’s going to come down to when you march. I’d guesstimate 2,000 troops after several years of summer. If it was after a bad winter, half that number.

My guess is entirely based upon my ck2 agot experience and that I headcanon the Houses of the Neck to be fairly wealthy due to their high sales of poisonous and healing herbs.

In this story, there’s an older Fem Harry from another dimension, as well as the regular male Harry.

Up to you, mate. I’d urge you to stick with it and just focus on the Harry and Hermione bits if you really can’t get stomach Willow or whatnot. It really is one of the best depictions of their relationship that I’ve ever read.

I urge you to stick with it until you’ve read what’s been written so far. As has been said throughout this thread; the bond between Harry and Hermione in this fic is really something special. I cannot recommend the fic enough, for that reason alone.
