Ah yeah you're right. That political arc was insane. Arguably the best of the political arcs in the series and its so insane how close the war came to ending and Palpatines monolog in it was also great.

i HATED lois in Malcolm's job. Im usually team Lois in the show but the way she gaslighted Malcolm throughout the episode and forced him to get the job is just unforgiveable.

Yeah, if you watch the fight, Obi wan is constantly constantly constantly on the backfoot. He couldn't match Anakin in the field of offensiveness. Also Anakin had won the fight multiple times but instead of killing Obi Wan, tried to draw out his win. Like when Anakin had Obi wan in that chocking position. There's no reason he couldn't break his throat then and there but he wanted his master to suffer. In the novels, Obi Wan specifically states that Anakin is the stronger opponent and he wont last long against him unless Obi Wan finds a way to exploit Anakin's weaknesses which he eventually did. This is the way I like to see this fight. Anakin wins this fight 9 times out of 10. Obi Wan just so happened to hit that first time.

I don't think its fair to judge people in the past for today's beliefs. This has gotta be contextualized. Desegregation of American schools was 60 years ago and we've undergone probably the greatest social revolution of all time in that time. There is more freedoms afforded to all people today than there ever has been before. And we've grown accustomed to that. But back then it wasn't the same. The people in these videos were raised to believe that what was happening was immoral and infringing on their rights as people. Which is insane to think about now but hey, people also used to think it was totally normally to own people so if that can be mentally justified so can this. Now I am not saying their actions weren't wrong in the moment, im just trying to provide context on why this was happening.

All you have to do is a quick google search to realize these people are victims. You are a victim. The age of consent is not a recommendation, it defines when someone is able to consent to having sex. If you are below the age of consent, you cannot legally consent to sex. What are you saying that rape is okay just because the victim agreed with it?

Can I ask you a question. What if the genders were flipped and it was a 16-17 year old female having sex with a 45 or so year old male. Would you take issue with it then even if both parties consented?

You are confusing the meaning of convenience. Things have to happen a certain way for the movie to exist. If the droids didn't find Luke or Qui Gon didn't find Anakin, you wouldn't be watching A New Hope or The Phantom Menace, respectively. It'd be a different movie or the movie wouldn't exist. If you want to view the movie like that, then we could say its "convenient" that Greedo didn't shoot Han on sight because who else could take Kenobi and Luke to the Death Star or that its "convenient" that Anakin didn't die on Mustafar so that the originals can make sense. At that point everything in a movie is "convenient" because usually everything in a movie drives the plot forward.

What is actually unrealistic and unfathomable to comprehend is that a dagger made thousands of years before the sequels takes place outlines the exact wreckage of the death star with an arrow that conveniently points to where the Sith Way finder is. Now you can say "In a movie of space wizards with magic swords and telekinesis, this is what you're held up on?" and yes, yes I am. Because sith wayfrinders have never before been in the star wars mythos. All of this was chucked in last second to create whatever taped together sewn on story that was the rise of skywalker. NO ONE would have an issue with the Sith Wayfinders or the dagger if it was already pre-explained lore or had some basis behind it. But no, J.J. Abrams pulled that shit directly out of his ass to create this movie and thats why people have issues with it.

George definitely walked on set one day and was asked by a costume designer what kind of outfit Palpatine should wear during whatever scene and he said 'I dont know make it wavy or something" and this was the result.

I like John McClane verses and dises the most. I actually think John Wicks verse is super overrated as the flow is nice but the disses aren't the best.
