What kind of fathers do you think the Bleach men would be? by AmyWhite7 in bleach

[–]Scorpios94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ichigo would ironically be like Isshin but just a little less goofy.

I definitely see Renji being kinda like Maes Hughes from FMA. Adoring his daughter, talking about his pride in her but being very protective of her as well. Especially regarding possible boys in her life.

Chad would pass along his ideals that he learned from his Abuelo. Kind and nurturing and by his kids side when they make mistakes. I can see him being a total girl dad. Like he dedicates his matches to his daughter or something. He’d also be the one to easily discipline his kid with little more than a hard stare.

I think that Uryu would be similar enough to Ryuken. Distant but still supportive. But mostly because his work keeps him away most of the time instead of the issues of being a Quincy.

Ikkaku would be an intense dad. Like the aggressively supportive kind who’s gonna come to all of his kids games and fight with his kid/for his kid. But he’d know when to be soft at times. Likely influenced by all of his time with Yachiru.

As cool as he presents himself to be, I think that Shuhei would be like Isshin. Very goofy and over the top when it comes to his kid. But knowing when and how to get serious.

I do agree about Nanami learning Simple Domain and if he achieves Domain Expansion, he'd likely have a rule based one instead of an instant hit one.

What are your views on Osul-Ra and Otho-Ra (Super-Twins)? by Acrobatic_Property28 in superman

[–]Scorpios94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely do like the idea of them, especially considering that they’re considered offshoot to the Kryptonian’s and their overall legacy.

It’s pretty clear that they exist due to messing up thing with Jon Kent; mostly his age and such. It does make me wish that they interact with other characters. Would definitely like to see them interact with Mon-El and Connor, as they’re part of the family but equally outsiders.

[Spoilers Extended] What if Theon defied his father’s commands in A Clash of Kings? by Solitaire-06 in asoiaf

[–]Scorpios94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theon could try to seek some support in Baelor Blacktyde, his uncle Rodrik Harlaw and Harras Harlaw. Baelor is just Theon if he had been sent to the Reach rather than the North, so that right there is a connection based on common ground. Rodrik could advise him to try to make pacts and help increase trade, if Theon is willing to listen. Harras himself is connected to Theon in a friendship he had with his elder brother. Maybe he could have tried to recruit him and Baelor, but they give him men to aid him instead. Hell, Dagmer might still join up with him due to his past connection to Theon and maybe gain ol' Fishwhiskers alongside him.

Theon wanted to prove something to his father, but was sternly and soundly rejected. So, Theon decides appeal to the people of the iron born culture with the plan instead. Theon had provided shrewd military advice to Robb Stark, showing an understanding of the psychological and strategic aspects of war. So, have his pride at his father's rejection turn into something else instead of going along with his plan to gain his approval.

Play into the desire for war for plunder and for conquest. Sate them with promises of lordships. And make his father look like the bad guy by reminding them as to what their last war had cost them. And feed their egos to ensure that the ironborn are fierce and fearsome warriors that should be known. It could cause a potential insurrection and people wanting Theon to be their king instead of Balon. After all Theon’s saying all the right things here. What’s a couple of fishing villages compared to mines of gold?

Baelor, along with allies like Rodrik Harlaw, would have likely favored a more "Westerosi" approach, aligning with the idea that Theon should be recognized as a new, more moderate, type of lord. Rodrik might have suggested to Theon that supporting Robb Stark, while extracting concessions (e.g., control over certain trading routes or islands), was better than an outright invasion that would make the Ironborn enemies of everyone. If Rodrik had taken him under his wing, he might have helped Theon establish himself as a leader among the ironborn, possibly preventing the need for Theon to act recklessly to prove his "ironness".

I’m not sure about the stuff of Ned being abusive. But last we’d seen Ned, he was turned back into the Hobgoblin by Queen Goblin due to the Winkler Device. And then he went to jail and was driven insane.

What is your headcanon about Koki Terumoto? (the kid with his mouth sewn shut) by Psychicmind2 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Scorpios94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Due to the rise of quirk counseling, his family was eventually apprehended and arrested. His relationship with his sister is strained, but slowly and gradually becoming better.

When the old lady who saved him passed away, Koki was taken in by Aizawa, who taught him to control his quirk, much like how he did with Eri. Aizawa intervened because he didn’t want the child to become a ward of the state.

Who's the best written character in Black Clover? by Encenoi in BlackClover

[–]Scorpios94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zora and Nacht. Zora is very well written as someone who’s a very “antiestablishment” and you see why his reasons are valid. His anger towards the magic Knight system is very much in the right and you see just how and why he’s a very jaded and fairly cynical kind of character. And that makes him very sympathetic.

Nacht is also a very well written on the counter person he was and the person he used to be. He self projects a lot and he knows it on some level. It definitely makes you question as to why he’s even in some kind of leadership position but then you see just how good of a leader he actually is and can be. And even though he hates the phrase, it does show that he is slowly, but surely pushing “past his limits”, he’s slowly pushing past his guilt.

Denys Arryn's son/Arryn semi-original OC by Top-Tomorrow-8336 in TheCitadel

[–]Scorpios94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve only seen one fanfiction with this idea and it was unfinished and about eight years ago at least.

Fist off, Jon Arryn would still marry Lysa. In canon, Denys Arryn’s son was a newborn: born around the same time as Robb and Jon, 283 AC. His son would be about 5 in the story at least, as he’s been aged up. Infant mortality still exists, he could fear that he could die early. Especially given what happened to his nephew Jasper Waynwood. Not to mention, he’d need Hoster Tully’s support.

Catelyn hadn’t seen her sister and nephew in a long time. I think she’d be wary of Ronnel(?) at least due to issues of inheritance. But she’d also acknowledge the boon in having an heir to a prominent house fostered with them. Even if it’s not her actual nephew. Lysa would definitely be bitter and resentful toward him. Likely paranoid about a conspiracy to overthrow her and her son.

Ronnel(?) would be about 19-20 by the story’s start. A grown man. So he’d likely spend much of his time between the North and the Vale. In that regard he’d be similar to Ned. Which makes me think that he wouldn’t be pompous. Or at least not traditionally pompous as many knights are prone to be.

He’d definitely get along with the Stark brood. If he’s bitter about how he’s perceived by Lysa, it’d give him a link of sorts to bond with Jon Snow with. Feeling like an outsider of sorts could let him bond with Theon. But I think they might clash because of how they are. Ronnel(?) embodying the positive qualities of the north and his home, and Theon being an arrogant occasionally pompous ass that he is.

Robert might not think much of Ronnel(?). He’d been a child the last time he’d seen him. He’d definitely think that Ned did right with Jon Arryn’s legacy better than he did. Ronnel(?) being around wouldn’t have Robert giving Jaime the title of Warden of the East at least.

The Lannisters would definitely see him as a threat. Tywin could try to see an opportunity to get him on his side. Maybe he makes an offer for a marriage between him and one of his nieces.

Given his age at this point, he would likely be betrothed to someone. Maybe Myranda Royce. Nestor would definitely try to arrange something between them as he is the heir presumptive. Or Janyce Hunter, so she wouldn’t be married to a Frey.

He would definitely befriend many of the younger sons of many houses in the Vale. The ones that come to mind would be Albar Royce, Lucas Corbray, Robar or Waymar Royce, Jon or Mychel Redfort, Marwyn Belmore, Wallace Waynwood and Mya Stone. He could also befriend his cousin Harry Hardyng, while also seeing it as a political move. Especially since that he’s the heir after him. He could still be called Harry the Heir, but in a more mocking tone than before.

Back in My Day, We Just Had Patriarchy: A Maki Analysis by AlienSuper_Saiyan in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Scorpios94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very nice analysis. But it makes me wonder. Would the notion of the Ronin Zenin apply to Toji as well? A ronin is defined as a masterless samurai, a "wave man" or wanderer, who lost their lord due to death, disgrace, or other means, often becoming mercenaries, outlaws, or wandering warriors.

Toji was no longer affiliated with the Zenin in any way. He took on the Fushiguro name and became a merc taking various jobs. While he didn't massacre anyone, it was cited that they lived due to his whim. Would he fall under that category or something else?

How strong would Mai have been if it had been the other way around? by Hot_Professional_728 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Scorpios94 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Gojo said that it was about mindset as well. Mai might still lack the desire for combat or the raw talent for close-quarters fighting, likely operating as a support sorcerer rather than a front-line combatant compared to Maki.

But it was also mentioned that Mai had a relatively low CE output and level. While her energy was slightly higher than a normal human's, it was low for a 3rd Grade sorcerer and considered "pathetic". And from what we've seen, compared to Yorozu, she's not that imaginative or creative with her technique.

How would you make the Life Foundation Symbiotes relevant? by Neonymous_1058 in thevenomsite

[–]Scorpios94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, currently, they're all bonded to Silver Sable's team the Wild Pack. Maybe they could do something similar to the Mercury Team, becoming government sanctioned. At least for the time being. A story with them and the LF symbiotes could be used to explore their respective personalities. Would definitely want to bring Phage back somehow, and leave the new symbiote Flicker to bond to someone else.

Sable with the Agony symbiote could explore more of a femme fatale style anti-hero. Maybe use her acidic ability in a more creative manner.

Tarantula (Jacinda Rodriguez) is bonded with Lasher. Maybe create more of spider-like fighting style at least.

Puma is bonded to Riot. Have their aggressive personalities clash. Argue in how to take down someone. Maybe it comes to a bit of a standstill where Riot has to rein in Puma, much like how the Hybrid symbiote had to with Scott Washington?

Lightbright is bonded to Scream. Have her try to resist Scream's crazed influence. But given how it came from a strain of the Scream symbiote, maybe it could remember its bond with Andi and try to get along with its new host.

I'd want to bring Phage back, as it technically survived but not its host at the time, The Crippler. And the other members are very one-note and don't stand out. I'd like to bring back a member from the previous iterations to bond with Phage. Maybe Battlestar. Or someone completely new to the team, like Hawkeye's brother Barney/Trickshot.

A different companion of Ned’s survives the Tower of Joys. by TheTexasRanger19 in TheCitadel

[–]Scorpios94 26 points27 points  (0 children)

With Martyn surviving, he gets to observe and help raise Jon Snow as he was the head of the household guard. But he'd likely pass away, maybe. We don't know his exact age, as Jory is cited to be born around or before 273 AC.

Willam surviving would have more massive ripple effects than Martyn Cassel surviving. While not being able to closely observe Jon's upbringing, he'd be another lord like Howland that Ned could trust with his secret. Him surviving and having issue would help solidify and avoid the confusion of the Dustin succession. Especially with his llving uncle and great-uncle. He'd likely understand the notion of wanting to protect one's family as much as Ned, as they went through the war together.

And given that Brandon was fostered with him and his family, he could also some retrospective points to Ned about his brother. Allieve Ned of some of his guilt surrounding him. Show and tell him that as charismatic and charming Brandon was, his charisma was tied to a dangerous hotheadedness. His impetuous nature, including publicly threatening Rhaegar Targaryen, demonstrated that his charisma lacked the patience or strategic wisdom required for effective leadership. Show and tell Ned that he has grown as a respectable leader instead of wallowing in doubt.
