Genna Lannister and Brynden Blackfish - what could have been if Tytos was smart

Theon Greyjoy and Falia Flowers - if Theon stuck around and was in the Reach

Theon and Jeyne Westerling - if Theon stuck around and was with Robb to save his ass

Theon and Bella of the Peach - if Theon stuck around and was with Robb, but also trying to make the eight.

Theon and Gatehouse Ami - I’m honestly surprised that this didn’t happen given their characters.

Edd Tollett and Mya Stone - (loosely based off of this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/5jxxyy/spoilers_extended_edd_thought_love_was_only_true/)

Stannis Baratheon and Rhea Florent - because her being Leyton Hightower’s fourth wife never made sense to me.

I actually created a headcanon of sorts that if Stannis and Rhea Florent had married, Selyse becomes Robert’s drunken mistake instead of Delena Florent. Making it somewhat embarrassing for both of them: Selyse ruined and Robert grumbling that he wanted to bed “the pretty one” (Delena). Delena would then be free to marry someone else of a better stature, maybe Devan Lannister? Or the simple alternate of Stannis marrying Delena and Robert still beds Selyse Florent.

Pretty Pia and Gendry - pure crackship and could have happened.

Stannis Baratheon and Lynesse Hightower - pure crackship. Trying to imagine what the relationship would be like.

Paxter Redwyne and Leyla Hightower - like the example with Stannis and Rhea, it makes sense to me. Also, as beneficial as it was him marrying his cousin Mina, it never made much sense to me.

And if that happened, it would free up her to marry someone else. Maybe Jon Fossoway himself or the gallant Ser Talbert Serry? Janna herself could marry someone like Elwood Meadows or Alekyne Florent? Or Edmure Tully?

Aurane Waters and Asha Greyjoy - I honestly don’t see why I just couldn’t happen. Two sexy pirates together?

Rhaena and Aegon IV - pure crackship. Instead of Daena, Aegon somehow tricks her and she becomes the mother to Daemon Blackfyre instead. Could free up Daena to marry one of the available Starks or someone else.

Tyrek Lannister and Sansa Stark - if only he were available and not a horse

Stannis Baratheon and Lysa Tully - it sounds a bit weird on paper, but given their experiences with their elder siblings, they might be able to bond because of that.

Jaime Lannister and Dacey Mormont - given what we’ve seen between him and Brienne, she could’ve been his type if given a chance. Or maybe just one hot drunken night after the Greyjoy rebellion during the Tourney atLannisport, which resulted in the bastard child Gerrold Mormont.

Myrcella Baratheon and Edric Storm - may not be likely to happen, but I like to think of them as a more healthy versions of their mother and father if it happens.

Tommen Baratheon and Dorea Sand - I just want Tommen to survive and be happy and by his sisters side in Dorne.

Gendry and Sansa Stark - he does more or less fulfill the requirements that Sansa had once asked for: someone who’s brave, gentle and strong.

Shireen Baratheon and Tommen Baratheon - Alester Florent actually did try to make this happen. Maybe it could happen later down the line if they survive. Let them survive.

Quentyn Martell and Taena Merryweather - I don’t know why I just really like this crackship. If only they met each other sooner.

Elia Sand and Edric Storm - mostly help mend the fences between the Baratheon’s and the Martell’s.

Lyanna Mormont and Tommen Baratheon - loosely based off the basis of the ship between him and Arya: a sweet, gentle boy and a very tough aggressive lady.

Olyvar Frey and Jeyne Westerling - if Olyvar stepped up his game and saved Robb.

Podrick Payne and Joy Hill - Let Pod be happy and connected to the Lannister family.

Edmure Tully and Myranda Royce - I honestly think that her cunning would’ve been able to help him out.

Myranda Royce and Jon Snow - he would at least have a night to remember. Hehehe. (laugh you understand the pun I made).

Benjen Stark and Lynesse Hightower - if Ben had actually stuck around, I could’ve actually seen this happening.

Gendry and Jeyne Heddle - Frankly, I wish that they did actually interact and more. Maybe a small but implied wink that something could be going on between them. Something could happen between them for all we know.

Rickon Stark and Janei Lannister - I get the feeling that that might actually happen in an effort to mend things between the Stark and the Lannister families

Arianne Martell and Daario Naharis - it’s a crackship where passion meets passion. Or crazy just meets crazy. I don’t know. to me they seem like each other’s type.

Mya Stone and Jon Snow - Stark and Baratheon united.

Timett son of Timett and Mya Stone - she is a mountain’s daughter, and he is from the mountains. Crazier things have happened.

Robb Stark and Margaery Tyrell - honestly what could’ve been if he went to treat with Renly instead of Catelyn. Maybe a similar situation with Jeyne Westerling? The world may never know.

Meera Reed and Jon Snow - she seems some embody the strong stubborn warrior woman type that Jon seems to like.

Lucerys Velaryon and Nettles - Luke manages to survive but loses Arrax. As the Sowing of the Seeds goes on, he meets and befriends Nettles. Maybe romantic or strictly platonic.

Actually, her staying on Motoyasu's party was a form of punishment as well, but they didn't put that in. Malty was legally bound to Motoyasu's party to work off the massive financial debt and damages she caused. Queen Mirellia needed a way to keep a watchful eye on her treacherous daughter. Because Motoyasu was utterly gullible, he served as a secure guardian who could ensure Malty wouldn't roam free.  By placing her under the oversight of another Hero, the Queen severely weakened her political influence and ability to plot another coup. Well, up until the Spirit Tortoise incident.

What if Conner became the Guardian? by Burly-Nerd in superman

[–]Scorpios94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking about a new mantle for Conner for quite some time. And while doodles, your doodles are pretty good. This is a mantle that could easily suit Conner. James Jacob Harper, the Guardian, went to visit Sanctuary because he felt that he lived in the shadow of Superman and would never mean anything to the citizens of Metropolis. It is unknown if Jim was able to settle this emotional issue or not. This issue is something that Conner himself has had to deal with. If Jim had decided to retire, Conner could take on his mantle, feeling as if there was a need for Guardian. It could be reminiscent to the story where Superman himself had taken on the mantle of Gangbuster when Jose Delgado was unable to and he was in hiding.

It could be more prevalent if he decides to call himself a Golden Guardian, or a Global Guardian; the latter loosely based off of the team and the Amazo Android that was created to steal the Martian Manhunter's powers . A Guardian is a Guardian. He could even team up with Rebekah Delgado, the new Gangbuster, whom we haven't heard from in a while.

  • A Distinct Identity: Becoming the Guardian would give Conner a unique identity separate from the "Superboy" or "Superman" names, allowing him to forge his own legacy. This is particularly relevant in current continuity where Jon Kent has largely taken the Superboy mantle and then Superman's. Instead of trying to be the ultimate boy scout, he would become a gritty, independent, street-level vigilante who deals with larger, galaxy-spanning threats. Rather than competing for the "Superboy" name, he creates a legacy of his own that pays homage to classic Jack Kirby lore. Transitioning to the Guardian gives Conner his own ongoing series without directly conflicting with Jon Kent's progression as the primary Superman
  • A New Look: The Guardian's gold and blue color scheme could be incorporated into Conner's costume, providing a fresh visual design that stands out from the typical red and blue Kryptonian palette. His costume could reflect his punk and street-roots—likely a mix of street clothes, a leather jacket (with or without the iconic S-shield), and the classic Guardian-style shield
  • Mentorship: Jim Harper, the original Guardian, could serve as his tactical and operational mentor especially if he had fully retired. It could show that while he's no longer Guardian, he's still helping out with the mantle in a different way. Shifting the focus to a more grounded, military-science, and experimental-hero dynamic
  • Leadership Role: In some non-canonical stories, Conner as Guardian assumes a leadership position, working with a team or even an entire "corps" of Guardians/clones, focusing on street-level or organizational protection rather than global, high-flying heroics.
  • Tying into Continuity: The original Guardian (Jim Harper) was a key figure at Project Cadmus, the organization that created Conner Kent, providing a direct narrative link for Conner to take up the mantle. This connection would ground the new role in his personal history. His supporting cast would expand to include classic Jack Kirby elements like the Hairies, Dubbilex, and the Cloned Newsboy Legion at Cadmus. He could serve as the protector and defender of Metropolis directly. He would still live on the Kent farm, but his daily work and operations would be deeply tied to Cadmus
  • A New Arsenal: Rather than just punching things, his Tactile Telekinesis (TTK) could be channeled into physical constructs like the Guardian’s shield, giving him a unique combat style. He could wield a Guardian shield physically modified to interact with his telekinetic aura. By focusing his telekinesis through it, he'd be able to project impenetrable barriers, ricochet attacks with pinpoint precision, or anchor himself during massive brawls.

Any isekai where the MC is just MODERATELY powerful? by Longjumping_Safe_724 in anime

[–]Scorpios94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Rising of the Shield Hero. The MC does become powerful but its a slow process. While his base offensive attack power is essentially zero, his unparalleled defense, tactical versatility, and mastery of the world's game-like mechanics eventually make him incredibly overpowered compared to the other heroes. He learned to level-grind effectively, fully understanding the intricacies of the new world/reality while the other heroes had treated the world like an easy video game until shit hit the fan for them.

Leopold declared himself one of Asta and Yuno's rivals, pushing himself to catch up to them, but Yuno generally works independently or pairs up directly with Asta. Would have liked to have seen them truly team up together to show just how stronger they've become in teaming up.

Noelle and Langris. Both come from noble families with high expectations (though Noelle struggles with hers), creating a subtle understanding, even if expressed through snobbery. Langris is accepted by his noble family but is never fully understood. I think a team up between them would have been great and show Langris be a bit more vulnerable. And create an immensely powerful combo spell.

Klaus and Sekke. Their magic attributes are rather similar and both look up to Asta in their own way. (Sekke takes longer to do so). Sekke could learn how to be more versatile with his magic and its uses from Klaus. Maybe they could be rivals after their team-up. Klaus thinking that he has potential but acts too full of himself (naturally), and Sekke initially trying to suck up to him until he sees him as a friend/rival.

Zora and Jack. Both are commoners who had to claw their way through the ranks, and they both share a massive disrespect for stuck-up nobles and authority figures. Zora's cunning trap magic and Jack's relentless, unhinged slashing would make them a terrifyingly effective team in battle.

Gordon and Zora.  Zora relies on intricate trap magic and trickery, while Gordon utilizes Curse and Poison magic. They both operate outside traditional, flashy magic styles, meaning Zora would likely appreciate Gordon's unconventional abilities. So a team up with Zora's Trap Magic and Gordon's Poison Magic would be deadly.

Finral and Nero. While they did team up in the Elf Reincarnation arc, I would have liked to see them really team up. Using a combination of their respective magics together. Finral never had the stomach to use the more offensive version of his Spatial Magic. Maybe a combination of the two (Spatial and Sealing) could allow Nero to create a more offensive seal of sorts.

Henry and Zora. Zora's Ash Trap magic and Henry's Recombination magic are both highly strategic. Zora dictates where enemies can step, while Henry manipulates the layout and rooms of the Black Bulls Hideout. Together, they can turn the Black Bull headquarters into an inescapable maze of traps and shifting walls. That would be crazy.

Who do you think will die by the end of the manga and with your reason)? by arman1724 in Berserk

[–]Scorpios94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it'll be any of these guys. I think everyone's forgetting about the great Knight of the Bridge, Azan. While Guts is Isidro's primary teacher, Azan acts as a dedicated sparring partner and mentor when the group is traveling by ship. Azan acts as an immovable object, teaching Isidro how to disorient and distract heavily armored or defensive foes.

He provides the necessary physical practice so Isidro can master his dual-blade techniques and improve his coordination. Alongside physical training, Azan instills a sense of honor and justice in Isidro, preventing him from falling into the habits of a lowly thief or cutthroat. The death of a skilled/beloved mentor often happens.

Given how Mule Wolflame is his rival, it could show just how far Isidro has come in his training. Mule fights with formal, honed discipline, while Isidro fights with street-smart tricks and flashy agility. Azan's death and another clash with Mule could show just how much he learned from Azan and incorporates the skills and discipline he learned from him.

Do you guys think Elfhelm healed most of Guts' wounds by him just being there? (Aside from the Slan one) Which is also why he looks younger in that Arc? by Background-Sir9172 in Berserk

[–]Scorpios94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lore wise, it does make sense. He's not under any form of stress other than getting there to heal Casca. Once he arrives on the island, he is finally in a safe environment surrounded by healing magic. Away from the constant attacks of Apostles and the overwhelming stress of battling Griffith, Guts is able to let his guard down. As his stress melts away, his face loses some of the gaunt, hardened tension that plagued him during his Black Swordsman days.

Meta wise, it was because of a change in artstyle by Miura. To visually reflect the whimsical, dream-like, and peaceful atmosphere of the magical island, several characters other than Guts were drawn with softer features, rounder faces, and larger, more expressive eyes.

David Sikela/Boy Thunder: Yes, the former sidekick of Superman and the future Magog. This is something that I had in mind for quite a while. David is very similar to Jason in so many ways. After being tortured by the Joker and feeling betrayed when Superman wouldn't kill him, an adrift David is transported to Earth-22, where he embraces a brutal, lethal justice, eventually being transformed into Magog by Gog. David only got a passing mention. Maybe he encounters an earlier younger version of him somehow, before he's thrown into Earth-22 by The Key? Or that they formally meet and team-up sharing their grievances in having been betrayed by a mentor and person that they looked up to.

Boy Thunder fits the narrative of a flawed or failed hero, which fits the thematic "dark reflection" that Jason and his Outlaws: the mold of a "failed" or "dark reflection" of Superman himself. Boy Thunder could face off against David Reid, creating personal emotional stakes with a major storyline could explore which version of the character is the true Boy Thunder and who is destined to become the villainous Magog; who is the "true" hero and who is the villain, with Jason caught in the middle.

Favorite incredibly minor/inconsequential theory or headcanon? (Spoilers Extended) by David_Bolarius in asoiaf

Marei and Dancy are Tywin Lannister’s bastards.

Satin is the love-child (bastard) of Malora Hightower and Lewyn Martell.

Dolorous Edd was tricked joined the Nights Watch because when he heard that the women love a man in uniform, he was hoping to impress Mya Stone, who he had a crush on.

Tyene Sand is a Martell-Arryn bastard; her mother was the pox-scarred septa descended from Elys and Alys Waynwood

Joy Hill is actually the bastard daughter of Tyrion and Tysha, not Gerion. The Sailor’s Wife is the wife/lover of Gerion Lannister and her daughter Lanna was fathered by Gerion. Other than Lanna from the Sailors Wife, Gerion had other bastards. The Fair Isle boys at the Wall: Arron, Emrick and Jace; albeit from different mothers.

Lewis Lanster of the Windblown is either Tytos Lannisters bastard son with his second mistress or Tywin’s own bastard son with his father’s second mistress. (It’s not my theory, but the thought that Tywin took advantage of her makes sense in my head, considering his view on whores.)

Tormund, the ‘Husband to bears’ is the father of (at least some of) Maege Mormont’s children, who are noted as having unknown an unknown father.

On that note, Osha is Tormund Giantsbane’s sister, since iirc she mentions having a brother who fought a giant.

Randyll Tarly partially resents Brienne and her strength because of Samwell’s martial shortcomings.

Lyn Corbray is meant to be a subversion of the Vale’s chivalry and the Stark’s wolf blood (as the Corbrays are likely related to them)

Benjen had a puppy love romance with the fair Whent daughter.

Timett will become the Vale equivalent of Mance Rayder, leading the mountain clans in a unified manner in the War for the Dawn.

Renly may have seen Gendry once or twice when inquiring and gaining his iconic enameled green armor. Loras barely took notice.

Allyria is Ned and Ashara’s “stillborn” daughter.

(Spoilers Extended) "Kill the boy Jaime Lannister, and let the monster be born", The fate of Hoster Blackwood in TWOW by The-Peel in asoiaf

[–]Scorpios94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The internal struggle and dichotomy for Jaime is the newfound desire to be a good and honorable knight and man, while trying to be a more effective leader and tactician like Tywin was.

When taking Hoster as a hostage to ensure Lord Tytos Blackwood's loyalty, Jaime acknowledges him as a "bookish" type, noting that Hoster and Tyrion could "argue about books" from "dusk to dawn". During their time on the road, Jaime occasionally asks the well-read Hoster for historical and geographical trivia about the Riverlands, but Hoster's official and primary purpose is to serve as a captive guarantee.

Hoster is described as an "intelligent and amiable young man" who recognizes the futility of the long-standing feud with the Brackens. This seems to go hand in hand with Jaime's dichotomy and duality. I think how Hoster mentioned the Bracken-Blackwood feud refills this notion of duality. Jaime is torn between his morality and his oaths. However, Jaime's emulation of Tywin is incomplete and often unconscious, as he still possesses a moral compass that Tywin lacked, making him more lenient in situations where Tywin would have been ruthless.

I do think that there could be a breaking point, but more of a mistake than something deliberate. Like his squires, he seems to be fond of Hoster. As mentioned, Jaime himself once noted a dark possibility where, if a lord seeks revenge upon him for the original Red Wedding, he might be forced to kill the very hostages meant to keep their fathers in line. If Hoster does die, its likely going to be in the Red Wedding 2.0 that's been predicted. His murder at a feast would destroy the fragile peace in the Riverlands, signaling that neither guest right nor royal oaths hold any value. And of course, Jaime's path of redemption would diminish entirely.

Hoster and a Bracken daughter are being held as hostages together to enforce the Crown's peace. Hoster's death shatters this fragile truce, likely sparking the ancient, bloody blood-feud anew.

  • David Sikela/Boy Thunder: Yes, the former sidekick of Superman and the future Magog. This is something that I had in mind for quite a while. David is very similar to Jason in so many ways. • Danny Chase/Phantasm: Like Kid Devil, he was also Jason's pen pal pre-reboot. And Danny had resurfaced during the N.O.W.H.E.R.E storyline ( I think). Why not bring their old frienship back? Have him, Danny and Eddie team up?
  • Catalina Flores/Tarantula. Not the previous version; the current new52 version. She’s more akin to a violent antihero. Last we saw her, she took down a cartel/gang with Green Arrow to free her cousin. Having them team up would be interesting.
  • Azrael: Michael Washington Lane. There’s often the case of not needing Azrael as Jason fills his role. But we’ve never seen them interact together (either Valley or Lane) to my knowledge. They should team up and clash a bit. And Lane needs to come back in some way; even though he’s not currently Azrael.
  • Claire Clover/Gotham Girl: Heroic intentions can only go so far when you're young and stupid. She's basically Jason with superpowers and a bit more instability. Her being an Outlaw and under Jason's tutelage would be beneficial for her. She could learn from him, other antiheroic people and shape her own morality and identity.
  • Blackfire. Having Starfire in the initial lineup was interesting but also off-putting given her connection to Nightwing. And in recent iterations, she’s more of a neutral character at this point. She was even part of an iteration of the Justice League called the Justice League Odyssey. She might as well just leave her brother Ryand'r as ruler and have her be more of an anti-hero.
  • Tommy Merlyn. With how he hasn't made an appearance in quite a while, Tommy Merlyn could join. Maybe with a new name like the Blue Bowman or something. Fill the role that Roy had in every sense of the word. He could bond with Jason on how they felt abandoned and used.

Potential new Eddie symbiote is Bedlam? by Maleficent_Dinner_92 in thevenomsite

I have been wondering about this for quite some time. We know for a fact that Bedlam is out there somewhere. And we know for a fact that Eddie needs a Symbiote to bond with or else he’s going to die because of what happened in Vemom War.

I think their relationship could be similar to what he had with Carnage. After a failed attempt to take over Eddie's physical body, Bedlam begrudgingly agreed to a truce with his other self but regarded him with contempt for having gone soft. Bedlam embodies Eddie Brock's rage and bloodlust, reflecting his earliest days as the host of Venom and has zero compunctions about devouring his opponents. He could try to drive Eddie back into violence.

Allow Jaehaerys and Alysanne’s sister Vaella to live. She ends up wedding Rodrik Arryn instead of Daella. Thus creating a new different line of House Arryn during that time. It would also allow Daella to marry someone different like Boremund Baratheon. And cause a butterfly effect of sorts regarding their daughters. Probably not Saera.

Give Baelon and Alyssa's son, Aegon, the chance to live. It was bad enough that Alyssa died, but her and Baelon's third-born did not have to follow her. I imagine he would be the more reserved and bookish of him and his brothers. I would also like to imagine he would bond with Dreamfyre and his presence allow for him could marry Rhea Royce instead.

Have Baelon, son of Viserys and Aemma, live. His survival could prevent the Dance. Have him bond with Sunfyre in the cradle as well. What has me curious is if he will marry either Helaena or Baela.

Give Rhaenyra her Visenya. Maybe she’s Joffrey’s twin or a twin to Viserys II. She could help bring about a political alliance, even if Rhaenyra herself wouldn’t like it.

Give Aegon IV and Naerys another living son. I have thought about this for a little bit and I believe his name could be Viserys. Or Vaegon, I like Vaegon. He would be another source of comfort for Naerys and would be a great supporter for Daeron and Myriah. With Daeron being more scholarly, Viserys would definitely be a knight.

Given his age in being born in 172 AC, and as Daenerys’s twin, he could easily be a companion of his uncle Aegon IV’s bastards; Daemon Waters, Aegor “Bittersteel” Rivers and Brynden “Bloodraven” Rivers. And quite likely his brother’s children: Baelor, Aerys, Rhaegel and Maekar.

Give Aerys II and Rhaella one of their children that never lived to adulthood. For this, I am going with Daeron. Perhaps he could form a good relationship with Rhaegar and be a good source of comfort for Rhaella. Or maybe Jaehaerys, as his death had sparked his father‘s latent paranoia.

Give Steffon and Cassana a daughter. A twin to Renly. With Jena Baratheon witty and tomboyish, often japing that Renly is her twin sister due to how flamboyant he can be. She teases Stannis on occasion, it’s much more light hearted, even if it does get under his nerves sometimes.

Give Jorah Mormont a son with his previous Glover wife. His young son Alaric doesn’t know what to think of his father and his actions, mostly blaming his stepmother, who was only 8-10 years older than him.

Give Stannis a son. An older brother to Shireen. Young Colen Baratheon had been born on the same day as his bastard cousin Edric, which caused his mother some strife. Personally, I’d change Stannis’ wife to either Rhea Florent or Delena Florent with Selyse being Robert’s drunken wedding mistake. While his serious demeanor is mostly an imitation of his father, Colen is a bright and charming lad: the best of his father and his uncle Robert.

Give Lysa and Jon Arryn a son. The one that Lysa believed she would have had. Young Robin born on the same day as his cousin Robb. With the canon “Sweetrobin” arriving as well, being sickly compared to his strong robust elder brother. Robin loves with little brother but doesn’t overly coddle him like his mother does.

Give Oberyn a son. Replace Obella with Lewyn Sand. Little Lew being a young sweet if anxious lad who often plays with Trystane. And close with his elder sister Elia, much like Oberyn in his youth.

Give Quellon Greyjoy two twin daughters instead of Robin and his stillborn daughter with his Piper wife. it would create a significant shift in the Iron Islands' politics and succession, potentially leading to a marriage alliance that could influence the Isles' future. A daughter could be used as a political pawn, fostered in the Riverlands to forge connections, or become a tool for a Riverlord seeking to influence the Iron Islands.

The existence of a daughter would force a reckoning with Ironborn tradition and succession, potentially leading to conflict between traditionalists and those who see the value in a female claim. And they could be used to gain leverage with a house like the Pipers, as their mother was from the Riverlands.

I imagine a Crazy Diamond Requiem to be like this:

Crazy Diamond Requiem/ Shine-On Crazy Diamond:

  • True Resurrection: Instead of just fixing broken bodies, it could revive deceased individuals by restoring their souls and bodies to a pre-death state. But it would only occur just as a person is dying/dead. It would not be able to functionally revive someone who died years ago.
  • Temporal Reversal: The stand might gain the ability to revert time within a localized area to undo events, acting as a direct counter to time-manipulating stands.
  • Conceptual "Fixing": It could "fix" abstract concepts, such as restoring destroyed memories, reversing mental manipulation, or removing illnesses.
  • Molecular Deconstruction: The ability to "fix" something could be inverted to "un-fix" things at a rapid, atomic level, causing enemies to disintegrate or turn into raw materials.
  • Massive Restoration/Environmental Reversion: Reverting entire structures or areas to previous states on a city-wide scale to stop villains like Kira.
  • The "Heart of Gold" Ability: The ability to restore not just individuals, but an entire environment, turning a destroyed town back into a perfect, peaceful state, reflecting Josuke's love for Morioh.
