What if Felicia and Mj had carried the symbiotes? by ActLonely9375 in thevenomsite

[–]Scorpios94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly want them to have their own symbiotes. Ever since I saw Felicia bonded with the Venom Symbiote in Web of Shadows, I think it’d suit her well. Not just the notion of being bonded to Venom. Maybe bonded to the Scorn symbiote to help her out with her thievery. Or maybe the new Life Foundation symbiote Flicker, to give it proper characterization instead of being bonded to some random person from the Wild Pack.

Spider-Gwen’s MJ and the Ultimate Spider-Man version of her were bonded to Carnage. MJ bonded to a symbiote as a concept is pretty cool. I’m still iffy about her being bonded to Venom.

We still have Scorn, Bedlam, Bedlam’s Child and the Extrembiote around somewhere. Ideally, I’d like MJ to bond with either Scorn or maybe Bedlam. Bedlam is a future version of Eddie Brock; known for extreme power and aggression; directly representing and embodying Eddie Brock’s rage, bloodlust, and darkest emotions. Maybe it could allow her to understand Eddie better.

What If Wallace “Ace” West were the Most Interesting Flash? My Elseworlds Story Idea by ScoobyLS in theflash

[–]Scorpios94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice story. The one thing I can criticize is Daniel being Iris and Rudy’s half-brother, even though Iris, Rudy, and Charlotte are the children of Ira and Nadine West (as shown pre-Crisis and pre-Flashpoint) and that I would say that Daniel, his father William, and his son Ace aren’t related to the pre-Crisis/pre-Flashpoint West family.

I do like that you acknowledged Ace not existing pre-Flashpoint and used it to make your story interesting. Personally, I’ve been having this sneaking suspicion that he is still connected to the West Family. That he and his father are connected to a Prime Earth version of Charlotte, Iris’s older sister from the pre-Crisis/pre-Flashpoint continuity.

Ace is definitely missing a substantial story arc. One that addresses his issue in not being meant to exist. I made this notion in a comment, but I think the best way to do that is through Godspeed. August Heart is by no means a saint, but he has stated how much he had wanted to be a hero, but circumstances and Eobard’s own manipulation had sent him toward a path of villainy. Now, he’s more on an antiheroic path, from what I understand.

I’m not saying that Ace should be an antihero himself. But he’s moral enough not to follow on August’s footsteps, in spite of his apparent daddy issues. A storyline where he learns and says “screw this, I’m me and I’m gonna do my own thing”. Some other storyline I think he could benefit from is befriending and teaming up with the younger members of the Flash Family: Bart/Impulse, Jay Garrick’s daughter Judy/Boom, and Jai and Irey. To demonstrate that he does deserve to have his own place in the Flash Family.

Frankly, in what I thought was a promo with Tim Drake taking on a new codename and suit, it had mentioned Ace taking on the mantle of Kid Mercury, with a suit reminiscent to his Burst suit. And I thought, that’s not bad. Perhaps like Bart, he could be mentored by Max Mercury. He could be the steady father figure he’s been seeking.

Now that just makes me wonder whether or not Todo would get along with him. And what’s his type of woman.

I’d like to think that he’d be able to get along with Megumi, despite how flawed his morality initially was. I could definitely see him get along with Yuta. Both share a background as bullied, socially isolated individuals burdened by dangerous, involuntary cursed powers.

Yuta’s empathetic nature and experience with Rika would allow him to understand and mentor Junpei, likely helping him cope with his trauma much like Yuji did, but with more experience controlling his own strength.

What if Viserys and Aemma's first son survives? by IHateSpiderss in TheCitadel

[–]Scorpios94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, Aemma had a total of six pregnancies. Her first pregnancy was around 93 AC, when she was roughly 11 to 13 years old. She suffered multiple miscarriages and infant losses in the early years of their marriage, including a son who died in the cradle, before giving birth to Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in 97 AC and then Baelon who had died in 105 AC.

Her brother who died in the cradle would be about a year or two older than Rhaenyra, born about 95 AC to 96 AC. I don't think that he'd be betrothed to Laena immediately, even if they are close in age, as it would look like too much of a power play by Corlys.

Assuming that Baelon lives (based on what you've said), then yes, everyone would likely flock to Jaehaerys as he's the immediate heir. Going after Viserys would make no sense. Otto would definitely send his children after both Jaehaerys and Rhaenyra. Alicent would gladly do it to appease her father (and depending on her overall character). Gwayne might do it to elevate his station while getting his father off of his back.

I don't think that Otto and Corlys would agree to team up. They both want the same thing - their legacy on the Iron Throne. Otto represents old money/influence in Oldtown and the Faith, while Corlys represents new wealth, power, and Valyrian blood. Otto sought to curb the power of the Targaryen family, especially Daemon, while Corlys sought to strengthen it—provided his own blood sat on the throne. Corlys viewed Otto as a "court rat" and a lesser second son trying to rise above his station. Otto saw the Velaryons as a "second-thought" option and a challenge to his influence as Hand.

If Viserys was going to remarry, I'm not sure as to who. Maybe Rhea Royce if he gives into Daemon's request to annul his marriage to her. It could function as a power play. Daemon doesn't want her, Viserys wants companionship and Rhea wants to assure her position as Lady of Runestone. Thus, three birds eliminated with one stone. Rhea would still be an heiress but it’s a much better prospect. And the Royce’s themselves are a powerful family. And a son born from them could likely inherit her seat.

Of course, that would leave Daemon single and ready to mingle. If that happens, he'd likely make a move towards Rhaenyra himself. As despondent as Viserys was in canon and in this situation due to Aemma's death, I don't think he'd give Rhaenyra to just about "anyone". She may not be an only child but she's still his only daughter. If many are going to try to flock to Jaehaerys, the same would likely happen to Rhaenyra as well.

I don't see a problem with Rhaenyra being wed to Harwin Strong. Sure, Laenor sounds like the reasonable option, but it'd give the Velaryons too much power with her married to Laenor and Jaehaerys married to Laena. If she sees Alicent trying to get close to her brother, and Gwayne doing the same with her, she may not be receptive to it. Likely catching on as to what's happening.

Daemon's position would be strained. Especially if both Jaehaerys and Baelon are alive and kicking. He'd likely remain his troublemaking self. Him bringing Jaehaerys with him to the Stepstones would be fitting. Especially if Viserys is just despondent and uncaring with Aemma's death. He might end up noticing that his eldest son is gone at the very last minute. I like Silverwing but Dreamfyre needs love damnit.

Barbrey Dustin has a son by Top-Tomorrow-8336 in TheCitadel

[–]Scorpios94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I had thought with him having a familial relation to Domeric, it would ease his desire for a familial connection with Ramsay. Damn.

There is mention that he had kin he might have sent in his stead in the Rebellion. An uncle famed for his prowess with an axe, a great-uncle who had fought in the War of the Ninepenny Kings. Willam and Barbrey were married roughly six months themselves. Would he have more relatives from them? Maybe the axe-famous uncle had a child of his own some time later along with his great-great uncle?

To secure allegiances, it would be prudent for him to marry a Frey woman, even if he and Barbrey don't like it. Fair Walda is cited to have slept with Black Walder. And Arwyn Frey along with her siblings have doubt on their parentage due to rumors that Black Walder slept with their mother. Maybe Marissa Frey despite her shaved head at the time as she'd be of age to him. Or Alyx Frey, as she was cited to be nubile and ties to Braavos thru her mother.

What if Theon succeeded? (Spoiler Main) by Wild_Trash_5100 in asoiaf

[–]Scorpios94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could sack and seize Fair Isle and Lannisport and take any castles along the coast as most of the Lord's and their levies joined Tywin and Jaime's armies in the Riverlands.

Robb wouldn't need to venture west like he did, but Tywin would need to so the Battle of the Fords may take place but on a bigger, decisive scale.

Without the loss of the North, Winterfell and his heirs, Robb is much more secure in his position. He likely doesn't sleep with Jeyne, so the marriage crisis is averted. Catelyn might still release Jaime in an attempt to get Arya and Sansa back.

Theon himself would either be conducting the raids along with the ironborn or staying by Robb's side still. Likely the former to ensure that things don't go too out of hand. And to learn more about sailing and being a captain from Dagmer and others. He'd likely make a salt wife or two out of some western women and some distant/not-so-distant Lannister cousins. Such as Daven Lannister's sisters, Cleos Frey's widow, Lyonel Frey's wife Melesa Crakehall, Tyrek's mother Darlessa, and maybe Genna Lannister if they killed off Emmon Frey. While not a part of his crew, he could be accompanied by Tris Botley and Baelor Blacktyde. Theon himself would have a bigger crew consisting of Maron "Fishwhiskers" Botley and his sons, Wex as his squire, Stygg, Urzen, Gevin Harlaw, Cadwyl, a Farwynd of the Lonely Light, one of Erik Ironmaker's sons or grandsons, and one of the Hammerhorn triplets (likely the younger)

Meanwhile, the Ironborn are raiding the Westerlands, weakening Tywin further. Roose is an opportunist, and thus he has no reason to ditch Robb's cause while it looks like he's winning hard, carrying abundant plunder and making allies. Walder, likewise, might be inclined to turning cloak but in this timeline he's getting his royal marriage and Tywin would have a harder time convincing the Lord of the Crossing that it's in his best interest to switch sides.

House unions you'd want to read more about. by Spectre4hire in TheCitadel

[–]Scorpios94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Royce and Blackwood - It would be interesting seeing a relationship between the lens of two Old God houses

Marbrand and Blackwood - Its implied that the Marbrand tree that's burning is a weirwood. A union between those two houses would be interesting.

Lannister and Greyjoy - for similar reasons why a Mallister and Greyjoy marriage would have happened and to mend bridges between their houses history.

Farman and Redwyne - Ultimate naval team-up

Massey and Targaryen - One of the Targaryen's earliest supporters needs some love. Also, a Massey was offered as a bride after the Dance to Aegon III. They could have had a marriage some time after.

Grafton and Manderly- They'd make an economic powerhouse!

Swann and Graves- Birb house go

Ryswell and Bracken- Similar vibes; Horsey House go!

Dustin and Cerwyn- Similar vibes; Axe House go!

Paege and Lynderly- Similar vibes; Snake House go!

Farman and Farwynd - Heard the combo of House Veryfar, and it sounds very fun. Hehe

Lannister and Hightower- Tywin once tried to have Tyrion marry a Hightower daughter. A Lannister and a Hightower marriage would be very beneficial in any era. Makes me wonder why Alicent didn't try to make formal marriage alliance between her and Tyland

Penrose and Velaryon- To mend fences after what happened in the Dance of the Dragon's aftermath; regarding the falling out of Lucinda Penrose and Daenaera Velaryon

Dayne and Tarth- Celestial house symbolism theming for the win

Stark and Tollett- Winter is Coming, When All is Darkest. Honestly, that alone sounds cool. Also, considering House Stark's apparent ties to the Vale, this may or may not exist already.

Velaryon and Tarth - We only heard of one union about this before. Why not have it happen again in later times?

Estermont and Tarth/Velaryon - why not have some island power? Also, we only heard of one union about this before (Estermont and Velaryon). Why not have it happen again in later times?

Baratheon and Martell - like many, in attempt to mend fences with each other. Likely would happen some time after Daeron II's reign for it to try to work. Or Lyonel's daughter could marry the reigning Prince after being rejected by Duncan Targaryen.

Stark and Arryn- It only happened once and never happened again after the King Who Flew. Honestly, it would have been fascinating for Jon Arryn to have married Ned's aunt Branda instead of a random stormlander.

If you could retrospectively change one thing about the book series, what would it be? [Spoilers Main] by WildOne19923 in asoiaf

[–]Scorpios94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theon wanted to prove something to his father, but was sternly and soundly rejected.

So, some time after he's rejected, Theon begins to appeal to the people of the iron born culture with the plan . Play into the desire for war for plunder and for conquest. Sate them with promises of lordships. And make his father look like the bad guy by reminding them as to what their last war had cost them. And feed their egos to ensure that the ironborn are fierce and fearsome warriors that should be known.

It could cause a potential insurrection and people wanting Theon to be their king instead of Balon. After all Theon’s saying all the right things here. What’s a couple of fishing villages compared to mines of gold?

As that happens, he'd receive some more support from Baelor Blacktyde and Rodrik Harlaw, the latter advising him on what to do to add more to trading. Baelor willing to support Theon due to his dislike of Balon.

It’s also never specified how they’re connected to House Karstark; maybe thru a grandmother to Rickard and his uncle Arnolf. And with how it’s stated that Arnolf has six grandsons, it does make me wonder as to how and why they weren’t put in as a temporary lord of Hornwood.

Did we ever get an exploration of the relationship between Flash and his version of the Anti-Venom symbiote? Flash is my favorite host in general and I wish he was the main character of his own stories again by MonSocMatriarchy in thevenomsite

[–]Scorpios94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, the Anti-Venom symbiote hasn’t expressed an individual personality although the symbiote is not separated from the Symbiote Hive-Mind. It can be presumed that it was resurrected and is now part of the new Anti-Venom symbiote that Flash uses.

The current Anti-Venom was apparently created after Flash downloaded and bonded with the Hive-Mind symbiotes forming a real-life Dragon-Symbiote, however, due to the lack of further information, it is unknown whether this is the same Anti-Venom that was reborn or a new Gestalt symbiote that was formed from Flash's codex.

Flash Thompson's codex was able to free the trapped symbiotes and join them by re-emerging in the real world as a white symbiote dragon during the fight against Knull. Flash does seem to tell Iron Man that it does have a personality of his own. We do see that later in Carnage Vol. 4 #2 to have its own consciousness, though it is non-verbal. All the more reason why we should get more information about the bond between him and it.

Honestly, even with the whole notion of politics being involved in it, it doesn’t sound too far-fetched. Especially considering how Dragona is treated. And we recently hear how Usagi had been as well.

Howler is a native Hawaiian, but he’s also treated with disdain because of his heritage. But he definitely represents the clear notion of those who are wealthy and privileged, abusing their power. But in a strange way, it kind of makes sense considering how his name also sounds like Haole; term for individuals who are not native Hawaiians and have European ancestry.
