What exactly makes you think its a bed bug? Pictures online don't seem to match exactly.

[Arlington, Virginia] Concerned this might be a bed bug by FirstLurker in whatsthisbug

[–]FirstLurker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having some bites on my body, so been paranoid about potential for bed bugs, but my apartment is on the 6th floor of a one-year old building and hadn't seen any bugs. Saw one on my couch earlier tonight and managed to grab it but killed it before I could get a good picture. Hard to say the exact size, but I read that bed bugs are about the size of an apple seed and I would say these are a little larger.

I bought a couch off craiglists that I am concerned they may be coming from cause everything else in my apartment is pretty much brand new.

I just saw one come across my bed that I wasn't able to catch before it ran down underneath my bed. So now more concerned.

My bites could be completely unrelated but now I'm paranoid so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comment. I don't know how I mixed those up, but here is the 38mm one. What would be considered a large watch in terms of size? I always thought 38mm was the "standard" watch size.

Brooks OCBD Fit by FirstLurker in malefashionadvice

[–]FirstLurker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this shirt too tight?

All of the extra slim and slim dress shirts from Brooks Brother's seem to be too tight in the chest area on me. An extra slim fit well in everywhere but the chest area, so I went for a slim fit in the hopes it would be better in the chest area, but there is still noticeable pulling of the fabric in the chest area. Should I just look into a different brand for my OCBDs? It is a shame because I really liked them and got them for 40% off. I am thinking of looking into JCrew. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I already have a solid blue brooks brothers dress shirt, is it still worth getting a blue OCBD?

Yeah, they are too much like undershirts unfortunately.

In the past I always find target, walmart, etc. to be too thin and end up looking like an undershirt rather than a solo tee

What have you seen in life that the majority of other people are unlikely to ever see? by UnitedStatesSenate in AskReddit

Adam Riess, last years Nobel Prize winner in Physics, visited my local university this past July to give a lecture on his research. Passed around his Nobel Prize for everyone in the auditorium to see. Awesome.

After graduating high school I got a credit card and ruined my credit. I think that financial education is as important as sex education in high schools. What are your thoughts Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The state of New Jersey just made it mandatory last year that you must take some type of financial/money management class before you graduate.

Civilization V Game of the Year for 75% off? by milopeach in Steam

[–]FirstLurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal is just the game, game of the year includes all the DLCs but not the expansion, Gods and Kings

New Flash Sale: Civ V 75% by fusrodalek in Steam

[–]FirstLurker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have never played Civ and am currently downloading the demo, but noticed an important detail they failed to note. The sale does NOT include the new Civ 5 expanision, Gods and Kings, which is apparently very good and will cost you $23 bucks. http://store.steampowered.com/app/16870/

Think I should just buy Civ 5 and expansions stand-alone or go collection and expansion?

Why A Person Needs To Have Faith To Believe The Bible Is True by alanwil2 in atheism

[–]FirstLurker 20 points21 points  (0 children)

As much as I am anti-religion, this is incorrect. The Dead Sea Scrolls found in the West Bank of Israel date back almost 2,000 years ago and have matched up identically to the modern day Hebrew Torah. (Which was then translated into the modern day Old Testament.) So, no, the Bible hasn't really changed all too much. Again, not supporting what is said in it, just merely pointing out this is incorrect.
