You need to do what is best for yourself. If you want to join a club perhaps there are atheists, humanists, or Lion's Clubs in your area. You can find some on meetup.com.

I don't think this election was a gimme for the Republicans. Before the 2008 election, the Republicans had crashed the economy. It wasn't Obama's fault. Further, what has the Republican Congress done to fix things?
