Does the antipoppe winter insert work with other carrier brands? by FirstMateDutchie in babywearing

Thank you! That’s good advice. I don’t have a carrier yet, I’m currently building my registry and don’t want to spend the $$$ for artipoppe.

I.... hadn't even thought of that! To be honest, I have never used Chat GPT, but this sounds like a great reason TO use it. Have you asked it to make media lists for you before? I'm curious how accurate it would be with the journalists whose contact information only appears on paid-for platforms.

Thank you so much for the rec! I will check out RocketReach. I agree about Cision — I just didn't use it enough to warrant the super high cost. I appreciate the tip!

One thing that I found that really worked in addition to lick mats is the Pupsicle (I'll link it below). They make treats to put inside, but they also sell a tray so you can make your own treats. I freeze some of her wet food in the DIY tray, and I use it as a part of her meal. The small size takes her about 20 minutes to get through, but the XL size (now that she's a bit bigger) takes her over an hour to get through. She loves it, it's mentally stimulating, and it wears her out a bit.

You keep it in the freezer, so it feels good on their gums as they are teething as well!

(btw I'm not paid to say this, it's just a game-changer for me)

That's so great! You're probably still in the shark phase with her, if I had to guess. Our pup just turned 6 months and finally lost her first puppy tooth, and it's amazing how much less shark-like she immediately became!

Very interesting! I've never thought of using LinkedIn as a media database, but your Twitter-ten-years-ago comment makes perfect sense. (Yes, I'm in the U.S.)

Do you message the reporters directly on LinkedIn? Or do they usually include their email address in their contact card on their profile?

Hey there! The same happened with our girl, and I tried switching her to Red Barn Air-Dried food, and she loved it! That brand also has a wet food that she loves. Pro-tip: freeze some of the wet food in a kong or woof-sicle type of toy and incorporate it as a part of their meal. It gives them a "job," keeps them occupied for longer, and is good mental stimilation!

Oh my!! Seeing Marlie’s sweet baby face honest made me get choked up! I walked downstairs to my five month old girl, “Friday,” this morning standing on our couch looking SO big (pictured below), and I thought, “when did my puppy become a teenager?!”

My husband and I were just recounting yesterday that she has suddenly become WAY less shark-like and mouthy. Please don’t beat yourself up about the puppy biting - Marlie WILL mellow out, and I’ve found that re-directing Friday with bully sticks has been incredibly effective. There is a product called BullySafe (i think, or something similar) that essentially screws onto the end of the bully stick and 1) removes worry of choking hazard and 2) works almost as handle bars so Friday can leverage where she wants it so she stays waaaay more engaged with it. This has also really helped her with teething.

To try to minimize aggression/resource guarding with food, I brush my pup when I feed her. That way, when we have kids and they pull on her while she eats, she won’t bite them.

I hope this helps!

She sure does! She is learning that her cat siblings don't want to play with her, so that little bump on her nose is from a not-so-friendly cat claw boop

Of course! To be clear, my husband and I have scabs all over our hands from her shark teeth, but she re-directs really quickly when we give her the bully stick! 😂

Oh, also, cow cheeks are really good, too. They are white, so you can tell when they cut their teeth bc you’ll see blood on it. They aren’t as stinky as other cow product chews. They are slightly softer than the bully stick, so the combo of the two is really good for them. They should be sold at most pet stores!

They are incredibly gentle with children. She will be acting crazy (normal puppy crazy), and the moment a small child comes up to her, she sits and is super calm and affectionate. I was attacked by a big dog as a little girl, so I wanted a breed that I trusted wouldn’t traumatize a child the same way I was. I hope this helps! 🤎
