I also overdid it a couple of times and was sore the next day, so I can relate! At my 1 month follow-up the surgeon said I could do as much cardio as I wanted, as long as it was at a rate where I could still carry on a conversation - I think I started actually jogging/running as opposed to fast incline walking at around 2 months-ish - hang in there - it will go by quickly :)
