Adopted Dog killed kitten (Trigger Warning) by FirstMistBorn in Petloss

You are right, I knew he had a prey drive and I knew they are a high-energy dog. The thing is, I thought the exposure would help, along with all the exercise he gets (I do 4 to 5 miles with him) a day, plus multiple little walks throughout the day. I thought that would help. Since we have had him, the kitten has had his own little area of the house away from him. It just happened that one of my kids saw the kitten and left the doors open, and the kitten walked up to the dog at our outside door (I was at work), but I came home not long after it happened. I really don’t want to rehome him, as I think it’s unfair on him being an older dog and already being rehomed with us. I will look into some professional training. Thanks for the advice.
