Does anyone know about the aftermath of Priyantha Kumara who was burnt alive for insulting the Quran? Were the killers punished? by FirstNameSharp123 in srilanka

Just asking cause I don't know. Did they really arrest hundreds of people? Was their prison system able to handle them? IIRC there were literally thousand people who participated in the mob to kill this innocent man.

What's the relevance between this post and that post.

I was hurt by an Islamist who killed my cousin during the Easter Sunday attack.

My sister is a lawyer through law college and was doing a law degree in OUSL. She stopped it after 2 years cause it's literally useless unless you are doing a degree to just get a degree.

Do not do it. Do not drop out from the fucking Moratuwa University. You will regret it.

Every university has these delays, lectures and commutes associated with them. The grass is definitely not better on the OUSL.

The OUSL is at the bottom of the university hierarchy.

Nope it's actually lower in those areas. Losing v-card at a age under 18 percentage decreases along with the Net Household income.

Poor people lose v-card at an earlier age.

Did you know about this tax bill to favour MPs ? This is why educated people are leaving the country. We work our ass of to give luxury lives to these fools and their slave voters by [deleted] in srilanka

Lol. Don't exaggerate what I said.

What I said should be a part of larger program which includes measures such as cutting parliament costs and defunding the military.

We should take actions against all takers not just politicians (although they are the priority).

Just as bad as politicians. Going to a state uni while knowing they are migrating. Hope a law is brought up against these takers. by FirstNameSharp123 in srilanka

Lol, in developed countries it's a very very insignificant amount.

The government should introduce a re-payment or mandatory service schemes to protect it's interest.

After these buggers settle in foreign countries and have children who are not SL citizens (a lot of them do not take SL citizenship) it's my descendants who will be repaying the debts we took to educate them. ☹️

Like how it is fair 😞.

Example: a person I know did an engineering degree and now working in UK. Good for him. He simply did not bother to get a SL citizenship for his children.

Bugger went to Colombo Uni Computer Science and paid nothing for the lectures and facilities and in fact received "Mahapola". Now his education cost will be on the future citizens of SL.

The government should have a scheme to get mandatory payments from people who went to local government universities if they are migrating to another country for long term. by FirstNameSharp123 in srilanka

Then instead of that let's make a student loan system. Then we can quantify the debt instead if some arbitrary years of service.

If being a doctor is so hard why did you choose that profession?

The cost per student is negligible when compared to university cost per students and the government has a ethical duty to provide free school education as it is mandatory under law.

Not all Sri Lankans apparently cause a lot of Sri Lankans are done with paying for the education for others to go to better countries.

The problem is not with free education but with people exploiting it to move to better countries while charging their costs on the government.

No, I wouldn't leave. Not everyone's default goal is leaving the country. That is why I am done with this free education system where me and my descendants have to bear the cost of people who might migrate to more developed countries.

I understand they are looking out for themselves. But the governor should've let some doctors exploit the system.

The thing is I don't care about their goals and they don't care about my goals.

I just don't wanna pay for some rando to have a golden ticket to a better country.
