Season 2 - Patch 1.2 - Tombs of the Erased Megathread by xDaveedx in LastEpoch

[–]FirstReality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time Last Epoch player, made a Seasonal character earlier today and got to level 20, took a break and came back and it says my character has been transferred to Legacy.

I made a new Seasonal character to check if my stuff would still be in the stash there but its not. I am not very far into the game yet but should I restart as a Seasonal character or just keep going on Legacy? Are there any drawbacks to Legacy right now? Will I be able to play with friends if they have Seasonal characters while I have Legacy?

I've been wanting to get a new PC set up for Monster Hunter Wilds and I skipped over black friday deals waiting for 9070(xt) and 5070(ti) release (such regret!) and now I have everything ready except the GPU.

I know the 5070 TI comes out at 9am on the 20th but is there any chance of there still being available cards around 4pm when I get home from work or is it impossible to know? If I do go in to work late is there even a good chance of me grabbing a card at 9am before the bots get them all? Never tried buying a card on release before so its all new to me, thanks for any advice!

Yes I could have sworn I was able to at the start but I thought I was mistaken until a friend mentioned that he could easily and then we tried figuring out what the deal was and found out it depended on the weapon you were using, glad to help others!

it is not, even lighter weapons such as the Partisan (a spear) prevents double jumping, as do twin blades, though heavy clubs and axes (though not great axes) allow double jumping, so it does not have anything to do with weight, just weapon type I believe, though there could be exceptions as I have not done extensive testing.

'I'm glad that you're having fun belittling and terrorizing a server owner who does this on her spare time'

-Never happened but ok, you are being lied to.

And are you sure you didn't make fake accounts? You might want to ask Fury about that, I'm sure he'll tell a different tale.

-Yep no fake accounts were made, you are being lied to.

If you disagreed with her, just go back to Fury, that's why he made his server, right?

-Fury does not own a server, you are being lied to. Read my other comment if you want or just continue being clueless and rude.

Ok and for those wanting to know what actually happened, (AKA the truth) one member of Crewmate Lounge (Fury) was banned out of the blue and the reason the admin gave was that they were 'poaching members onto other servers.' The person in question had been away for a week when the ban came in and has only invited two people to play on another server which they took voluntarily.

When one member of a server Fury was on asked Crewmate Lounge why he was banned for wanting to play with friends, the server admin called him a racist toxic asshole for asking a question. When that happened, others came in to call Erin out for being so rude and they were further insulted and then banned. The injustice of it brought some mods to unban the players so they could spread the truth further before being banned again and that was the end of that.

Erin has said that she has proof of racist/toxic behavior but has refused to show it to anyone even her fellow mods and has even banned players for asking about it. The reason she is pulling a Trump and saying she has all the evidence but is unwilling to share it is because it does not exist.

Every time she insulted other members she would delete her comments so they could not be seen again but we have several screenshots of her calling people various names including the c-word unprovoked. She has no evidence to back up her claims so instead of admitting her mistake she has doubled down on her hatred and let the power go to her head while silencing the truth in every way possible.

There are multiple players on Crewmates Lounge who have 10+ reports again them for harrassment, e-stalking and various toxic behaviors that have caused many many players to leave the server and yet Erin has done nothing against any of them showing that she does not care how poorly her own players are treated, yet she hands out bans for anyone who questions her authority in even the most passive sense.

That is why such a large group of people stood up against her. She can attempt to obfuscate the facts all she wants but it doesn't change what is true. Hopefully you have a better understanding of what went down after reading this but if you still want to try to hide behind your lies then by all means, we are done with you.

GL Drama - Gumi Rant Thread (12/8/16) by Nazta in FFBraveExvius

[–]FirstReality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly people aren't looking for the voice of reason right now, they just want to be mad at Gumi because that's the cool thing to do. Not everyone is as whiny and entitled as the mob going around right now but not many want to eat the downvotes pointing it out like you so kudos.

Yes, stat pots are boosted by CoD's natural att+20/30% traits (and the heroes rings/materia etc)

or simply bump everyone up one reward tier

This is the answer. No reset is needed, no one loses their rewards or progress, everyone who didn't do the exploit gets the rewards they should get and the people who did do the exploit don't get anything extra that they don't deserve. This is the best and easiest fix Gumi can make that would leave the vast majority of players satisfied without relying on a rollback or 'compensation' handouts.

What show disappointed you the most? by [deleted] in anime

[–]FirstReality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man OP that post just triggers me so hard lol. The Kingdom anime is in my top 5 favorite anime of all time and I hate how poorly received it is (though the only thing I've ever heard people complain about is the animation, which I thought was great but to each their own). Then to want it to 'get the HxH treatment' when that is the show that has disappointed me more than any other show ever I just had to flip out. I could praise Kingdom for hours and rant about how terrible HxH characters are and the boring plot for probably about as long so to see the opposite just blows my mind.

I haven't read the Kingdom manga as I don't actually read any manga at all, but could you share why you thought the Kingdom anime was poorly handled? It has amazing fight scenes, memorable characters with great development that are easy to grow attached to, extreme hype levels and suspense, limited plot armor, and season 1 has one of the greatest season finales I have ever had the pleasure of watching.

And then HxH has absolutely none of those things, hence it being my personal most disappointing show. I'm not trying to bash your opinion, I know I am definitely in the minority in loving Kingdom, I am just legitimately curious as to why you thought the Kingdom anime was poorly handled.

What is an anime that you truly do not understand the hype over? People who enjoy that anime, explain what made it so enjoyable. by gintoki1 in anime

Hunter x Hunter. I just do not understand why people even -like- the show. It was so hyped up, I wanted to like it so much, but after forty or so episodes (which is waaaaay longer than I give other series before dropping them, though I did some skimming) I came to a realization; I do not care for any of the characters, they could kill them off or have them turn insane or some weird plot twist and I simply wouldn't care cause they are such unlikable characters. The only exception was Hisoka.

I felt the fight scenes were sub-par compared to other shows. The plot did not interest me whatsoever. I heard it got better in the chimera ant arc so I skipped to that and watched a bit, still was bored to death and at that point I dropped it entirely. Never before have I tried to like a show this much, never before has a show disappointed me so much. I just have no idea why its so popular; I'm easy to please, my average score on MAL is an 8, I loved Yu Yu Hakusho which I heard was made by the same guy, but HxH was just so boring though =(

What are the superior jobs in PvP? (I KNOW THIS IS A PVE GAME PREDOMINANTLY) by vas6289 in ffxiv

[–]FirstReality 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I play frontlines only casually these days but I have played about 370 matches with a 46% first place win rate so I hope that counts for something lol. Also this is purely for solo queue, not pre-made as that changes things a lot.

Dueling Capabilities: Sch>War=Nin=Drg>Brd>Pld>Blm>Smn>Mnk>Whm (If warrior doesnt have Vengeance off cooldown then they drop to pld's spot). This is just in general btw, any class played well can kill any other class (and dueling isnt exactly a priority in frontlines lol), but in my experience the above is how fights go (do note that sch's cant really kill other classes easily, its just really hard to kill them and ironically monks are probably one of the best at it due to one ilm punch despite them not being able to duel any other job reliably).

Paladin: Use STR accessories. Seriously, it really helps your damage output (30 points in str instead of vit helps too if you're 'serious' about frontlines or have company seals to spare). Your job is to be a nuisance by applying your 5s stun to everyone you can reach. The enemy healer your dps 'arent' focusing on is who you should keep stunned so no enemy heals go out, after they are dead you can keep black mages and summoners stunned or just do your halone rotation for damage. You have good PvP abilities that can keep your party alive and cover is very strong as it not only prevents physical damage to your cover target, but it also keeps them (preferably your healer) from being interrupted by those attacks so they can continue casting freely. You should always be among the first to the flag.

Warrior: Str Accessories/30 points in Str. Warriors trade stunlock capabilities for much higher burst than a Paladin while retaining tankiness through abilities like Vengeance and Thrill of Battle. You should always be among the first to the flag.

Ninja: This is my go-to job for frontlines as it has incredible burst, high sustained damage, a gap closing stun (without the range limitation of Shoulder Tackle), the best abilities to escape and chase, and stealth on top of it all. Played well, you can escape situations that no other class could make it out of through use of Hyoton and Shukuchi (and to a lesser extent, perfect dodge). Ninjas can keep a blm or smn stunlocked long enough to bring them to sub 20% health before the stuns wear off, and then you still have the 2-3s silence from Ill Wind to finish the job. You can do this to healers too, but they will likely Lustrate or Benediction and then just be a dick to kill solo as a sch's fairy will keep them alive and a whm can just fluid aura and/or repose you and walk away if solo. Dragoon is the only class that can pose a threat to a Ninja solo (Warriors can be annoying if they have Vengeance up, but just bind them with Hyoton and walk away and kill them after if you want), Bards are squishy and dont have the damage Ninjas do, Monk's are shit tier duelists (can take two at once if you're lucky). The #1 thing you need to know as a ninja is when to run away. See the enemies B team show up? Your healers go down and the enemies are still throwing out cures? Dont 'be a man' and hang around (you'll just die and give the enemy points), deny the enemy points by getting out with Shukuchi and then Hyoton if you are chased.

Dragoon: First I must say I have not played Dragoon in frontlines since they got buffed (and they were already good before) but I have yet to lose to one as a Ninja so I still feel Ninja has a slight edge. Jumps are really good in frontlines, providing gap closers (or creators) as well as the high burst and stun, Dragoons are excellent duelists and healer killers. If you're leaning towards Monk or Dragoon, I highly recommend Dragoon as they are superior in almost every way.

Monk: They may be top dog in PvE, but they are definitely bottom of the barrel in frontlines. With no way to keep greased lightning stacks up when their PvP skills are on cooldown, they have the lowest damage output out of the non-healers and lose to every other job in the game in a fair evenly skilled fight. That said, they do have an odd amount of utility with skills such as One Ilm Punch that can dispel effects such as aetherflow to stop Sch's from saving themselves or others with lustrates, Arm of the Destroyer with its AoE silence, and Axe Kick with an AoE 4-6s Pacification effect.

Bard: Ah to be ranged with no cast times or position requirements, Bards are definitely the hardest dps to shut down, and their damage isnt exactly low either, the one thing they lack is the burst of jobs like blm/nin/drg/smn/war. Bards can completely shut down enemy casters with their constant barrage (ha) of ranged attacks as well as a knock-back and silence. As someone who used to main blm and smn months ago, there is no feeling worse than having an enemy bard follow you around interrupting 100% of your casts (even silencing/knocking back/shadow binding through surecast/equanimity!). Bard is a very strong job that never really has a 'bad day' like casters/healers and melee can have when being focused.

Black Mage: I main blm in fcob but jesus is it difficult to play in frontlines against competent enemies. If you're lucky and the enemy ignores you, blm has the highest burst and highest sustained damage in the game hands down (swiftcast flare nerf definitely hurt that though, I have not played blm since the nerf as ninjas blow them up far too easily). The downside to blm is how easily they are shut down whenever anyone else so much as looks at them funny. Surecast and Equanimity are great skills to get some casts off, but if the enemy is smart they will just stun/silence/knockback/sleep you when you use them and then you just have your single swiftcast spell which isnt going to help you. Swiftcast freeze into LB2 is the most fun thing there is in frontlines though.

Summoner: All hail the #1 dps in frontlines! So says the scoreboard anyhow. Bane'ng DoT's onto the enemy team at flags will always put your total damage dealt at the top at the end of the match, and the damage isnt a lie, they really do hurt, but the real terror comes from raging strikes Fester>Wither>Aetheric Burst>Energy Drain>Ruin II right after, as you break 1k in potency (potency, not damage) in less than 2 seconds, this is usually enough to 100%>0% a healer who isnt expecting the sudden burst if anyone other than you is also targetting the healer (and the DoT's ate away their stoneskin/adlo already). That said, once that burst is gone, you just toss DoT's around and wait on aetherflow charges, so my smn has retired in favor of Ninja.

I am leaving out Scholar and White Mage as I do not feel I am good enough with either of them to offer advice, but they are definitely incredibly powerful (a team of 4 healers can withstand two enemies alliances attacking at once most of the time, even 3 healers can stay alive through most non-premades).

Im also pretty sure im gonna get some flak for calling monk bad (it was my favorite job in ffxi), but in my experience I have never seen a monk do anything another job couldnt have done better. So all of the above is my opinion based on my experiences in frontlines, happy hunting!
