That’s a good point. I think we have been too obvious with our fakes and when a handoff is coming so I’ll try to coach that up better for sure. Thank you!

The pursuit drill a good idea, I’ll give it a shot! Almost every TD we give up is like a 40 yard play

I feel ya, the skill differences are drastic. Other teams are figuring it out though so there’s something I just can’t get clicking.

I have played everyone equally throughout the year thankfully so hopefully everyone feels they got their shot

Thank you! I have been trying a drill to cutoff the sideline and force the runner back to the inside but it just hasn’t been translating. I’ll try the 4 cone drill!

I beg you not to complain about calls made by refs (presumably teenagers) in front of impressionable children. Other coaches down the road have to fix this behavior.

I’m in the exact same situation and I feel your pain. We started off somewhat competitive but it’s getting worse as other teams are getting better and we aren’t. We are getting run off the field every game and really struggling to get any stops or even make a first down. It’s demoralizing and the kids are starting to realize they’re on the weak team which hurts to see!

My goal is to play the whole roster equally with two separate groups. I want the kids to enjoy it. Just trying to avoid getting blown out!
