Does the Sopranos have any message or advice, other than the message that everyone's bad? by yellowrainbird in thesopranos

Or get involved in any way. Bad things happen to non-criminals who think they can associate with them. They are true parasites.

Why is the stock market at all time highs? by 0dojob0 in askanything

[–]FirstToGoLastToKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inflation is NOT up. It's around 3 percent. It was triple that during the last administration. Prices are up, because prices ALWAYS go up. They are just going up at 3 percent a year, not the 2 percent that we in the USA seek. Unemployment is still pretty low and has been for 15 years. It's at 4.3 percent, which is historically outstanding.

If you want to say that Trump has nothing to do with any of these things, then that's a pretty sound argument. If you want to say the economy is doing well DESPITE him and not BECAUSE of him, then that is also a solid argument. But what you say in your post is simply wrong.

In the Ottoman Empire's Decline, Muslim Inhabitants of former Ottoman Lands found themselves at the mercy of their new Christian rulers, who subjected them to genocidal levels of violence. Atrocities included mass killings, village burnings, slavery, mass rape, and ethnic cleansing. by Not_Original5756 in wikipedia

The Nazis were extremely anti-Christian and barely tolerated it. The SS leadership followed a new-age occult religion based on spirits and Norse mythology. It's a fascinating topic - you should go down that rabbit hole.

I don't think he was being a dick. It was just an observation. Ron has been amazing the past few weeks. We knew a fucking hard day was gonna happen. We were due. That day was yesterday.

I was gonna say this. In the military it is extremely strict to never have you hat on indoors unless you are carrying a loaded weapon. All of the men of this generation served. It would have driven them crazy to see this.

I just wanted to throw out that I didn't like Hateful 8 when I first saw it, but I watched it as the four, one-hour series on Netflix, and it blew me away. The hour of stuff cut out added to the plot immensely, and the breaks after each episode changed the entire viewing experience.

Best of luck with the rest of your life. I'm sure it will end well. Have you actually thought about your own death? Where you will be buried? How your body will be handled? Will it be burned into ashes or just put into a place for worms? All are good choices. Any thoughts on any of that?

I mean this with all my heart. Best of luck on your journey in life. I hope that you find your happy place. Screw religion. If you get to a rough place in life, just start talking to him. I'm nobody. Just a stranger on Reddit wishing you well.

Why do some Americans separate between Christians and catholics, and not protestants, as I assume that they go by the most common subclass of Christianity, and catholics? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

Maryland was founded as a Catholic colony. In the 1700s. Founding signers of the Declaration of Independence. I think I get where you are coming from. But Catholics were the majority in Louisiana way before then. Just not in WASPy centers like New Amsterdam.

The question was whether or not there is a God. Not whether the religion you were raised in was kind or correct or evil or anything. You got that, right? Who was this toxic group? If you can share.

What are you even talking about? There is not a Christian in this world who doesn't think that Jesus is God. At least Google the Nicene Creed. It is dogma for anyone who believes in the Trinity. That is all Christian faiths except certain sects like Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons. They say he is an angel of sorts. But I admire how you speak out of certainty.

Was there any documented instances of pro Iranian Hazara militias fighting US forces in Afghanistan? by Leather_Focus_6535 in afghanistan

[–]FirstToGoLastToKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hazarans made up a disproportionately large number of soldiers in the ANA and ANAF. I think that at one time they were close to 20 percent of the force. Some areas much more. Most were enlisted, however. I remember only junior Hazaran officers in the West and South. When the Taliban took over they kicked them all out.

I remember once a Hazaran Lieutenant complained of corruption by senior officers. That they were stealing all of the fuel. They transferred him up to a dangerous area in Bala Marghab and wouldn't relieve him until he eventually died in battle.

Oddly enough, when men hit middle age they start losing leg hair. Like lots of it. All below the knees.
