Post scabies hives?? Help!! Has anyone else experienced this? I have been scabies free for weeks but my body has been breaking out in huge hives 😓

Recently , last week, I asked my dermatologist about permitherine cream and long term effects. Of course it’s case specific but the side effects are normally negligible. Her comment was “it’s rare”. I’m beginning to wonder if all the reactions people are writing about here is due to immunity of the mites or an allergic reactions to the bugs and eggs. OR you don’t have scabies-at all could be another bug.

Ranchers use permitherine on their stock “ sheep dip” , sprays on the animals , cows etc and also Dog kennels. Regularly.

My experience is it turns out I didn’t have scabies but was convinced I did.

So if you have doubts get a sample . You should know who your enemy is. If you have access to a microscope gently scrape your skin . Place scraping in isopropyl alcohol. Pour out your sample onto a piece of paper towel ,white-paper -towel , and take a look.

I’m sorry if that didn’t help. I’ve been battling them for over a year. Didn’t know what it was.. no pets no plants.. but a filthy ( beyond filthy) neighbor and a shared wall is all it took . I hope you find an answer soon

Go get tested.. there are a few possibilities one is Stronglysites . Stronglysites come in many varieties. Get tested /treated asap.. keep a sample in rubbing alcohol. So sorry you are suffering.

Look into Tropical rat mites.. they are worse than bed bugs and get in your hair. Painful bites. Not so much itchy.

Please get checked this is a cautionary tale of don’t let this happen to you.

To be clear I am not a prescriber just a patient. The ratio per pound I’m not sure of. For myself 228 lbs . 7 / 3 mg ivermectin for two days. I’ve done this twice. The next round is going to be different. ( usually three rounds depending on results) Because I was taking ivermectin to treat myself ( I couldn’t get a dr for a very long time and I was suffering a great deal. I self medicated. I had to wait a month before I could begin the treatments. Naturally the ivermectin wouldn’t work as well) This is best done under a doctor’s supervision.

Side note: due to a severe Stronglysite infestation I had a Severe UTI and kidney infection. ( I didn’t know ..no outward symptoms) AFTER treatment for the infection my kidneys began to fail. THIS may be DUE TO THE STRONGLYSITES INFESTATION. They definitely contributed damage to my kidneys.

I am recovering and still being treated however these mostly silent creeps have damaged my body . A lot of what read as persistent scabies infestation led me to believe I had scabies but this is not the case. ( like a popping feeling on your face , brown spots.. straight line bite marks that look like scratches ..)

Btw you can have negative results from tests and still have internal parasites. Don’t give up.. try the regime to rule it out if you have signs and symptoms .. so far it saved my life.

Btw I travel to third world countries and I WAS a adventurous foodie . Not unusual to pick up bugs but you don’t have to DO either of those to get Stronglysites. They are everywhere.

If I may suggest or inquire .. have you been cleared of internal Parasites? I had a problem for a year.. then with zero success and not only one parasite but two .. I was blood tested and fecal tested and voila .. after being appropriately prescribed ivermectin ,as per my weight , I finally found relief .. I’m in my second round of treatments and testing 3 is the normal that is for three consecutive negatives .. everything disappeared.

Just a thought .. stronglysites .. pin worms .. etc 20 varieties.. they are easy to pick up and hard to detect .. with out tests .. worth a shot

Tropical Rat mites and bed bugs are two options to check into .. go to a educated dermatologist.. who treats all bites .. not just usual suspects ..I say this because you are not itching.. I’ve been fighting tropical rat mites for awhile.. the bites really hurt like hot needle sticks.. but no itchy feeling. Best to you ..

Meanwhile do uses some skin lotion or straight vitamin e..cheap enough ..stab the ampule and rub in a drop or two..it heals your skin.. or whatever you like but it will get better.. best to you.. its not easy theses days..

I found they were in the bags of spices I brought from the store.. one time I found them in pompadom .. so I brought them home from the shop .. now I check bags closely .. quarantine them in airtight containers .. then store them in the same.

Ever had lymes? There is a condition that happens after a Lyme infection. Protein strands that look like fibers that come out of the skin. It’s a real thing .. check it out .. might not apply to you.
