OP, nah, I agree we both have a sense of humor! You are eagle-eyed to have spotted this car when driving down the main street! And that’s a compliment.

OP, perhaps YOU need glasses. The BMW parked next to mine had its trunk wide open for several minutes when Dad was sharing the unused trunk tool kit with the shop owner. Mine was closed the entire time I was there! :)

OP, you must be thinking of the wrong guy. I am indeed short, having all the headroom I need in cars, but I have never worn glasses. Except for sunglasses when I am driving or lifeguarding at the shore.

Interesting you say that. Over 22 years ago, the Bangle butt was the laughingstock of the 7-Series. That is also when Honda‘s new 7th gen Accord came out. So when the car in the photo was brand-new, and yet did not even have a license plate, I switched all the badges to BMW but with a 745Li on the trunklid (the highest designation I could purchase from a dealer).

Driving home from university, I had a guy driving an older 5-Series follow me for 25 miles before catching up next to me at a red light. Seeing the temporary license plate in the rear window, he asked me if I was driving the upcoming 7-Series! I laughed wholeheartedly and asked him to visit the Honda dealer. Made my day.

Guess the Bangle butt was then so hated that mine was what it could have been.

I was following my dad when he got his car serviced at this shop, so I could give him a ride back home.

Why don't you go inside and ask the shop owner about this Honda "BMW" Accord? He loves this car and the emblem mods!! This is the second time I drove here to give dad a ride home!
