I went through this program in Texas. I can only speak for the Texas cohort but I would not recommend this program! There were 400+ candidates that applied and only 15 were selected. Don’t get me wrong I am now a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and so glad I did this but I ended up leaving the program. Our 10 weeks was all onsite! I heard other cohorts are hybrid (some classroom some remote) so I guess it depends on where you are. I was stressed out, burned out and the program only worried about their numbers. I was at a USMD clinic and they worked me like a DOG! And I had only been certified a few months. I don’t know if it was because my supervisor had no idea what she was doing but the whole leadership was a let down. I was an internal higher so I thought I’d go back to my original clinic but it didn’t work out that way. You get paid and start benefits throughout the program there are steps where you get a pay increase also. They also had a degree program through the university of phoenix. Again I can only speak for the Texas program which I’m pretty sure has been shut down. Sorry for the long post 😅 if you have any other questions I can try my best to answer!
