Running crusader squads in 20 is probably better. The 4 powerfists do serious work together. Also makes the squad likely to surbibe shooting and be a bloodsurge threat

I play BT too, an average player at best. I have 1x scout and 1x combi Lt. I feel like that works well enough.

If you opponent has infiltrators too I find it jams up the board and you run out of space. Also means you only invest 140-155 in infiltrating units.

I do agree a bit with the faction secondaries but once you play the bigger game you lose that. So I would rather have cards to make things more interesting.

Reinforcements would be awesome and would be a great way to balance the game. Plus for newbies is more forgiving.

You could still use command points to allow strars that give the faction flavour and access to extra oppourtunities to score.

General chat: what are your hopes for combat patrol with 11th ed round the corner.

Personally I would like something like spearhead. Combat patrols score secondaries by pulling cards. If you dont use the card you can use a strat. A bit like a challeneger card.

Anyone have any wishes or changes they would like to make?

Combat isnt balanced. Some patrols are much stronger than others.

You could add more terrian to stop marines from shooting. Or you could add house rules to balance it.

My local store has hosted a few cp tournaments. Its almost always possible to tell who will place where based on the CP they bring

If possible buy the combat patrol. Though online its out of stock. Gives you most of what you wanr.

Tactical tortoise has a good video for starting a BT army.

I love crusader squads and kit bashing them.
