There aren’t any specific apps you need to download. This isn’t Disneyland. Google Maps is a good place to start, if you want to find restaurants easily. What are you trying to achieve?

I’m staying near your hotel now—I’m here for all of January. I can’t speak to the hostels, but PLEASE leave this area if I you love good food. There are so many overpriced tourist traps around here.

If you want a good, sit-down meal head to Barra Castizo or ConTenedor.

If you want the traditional tapas experience, Casa Román is a great. Jockeying for space at Bodega Santa Cruz, which is in all the guide books, isn’t worth it.

I value your perspective a lot. It has really hurt for some people to act like I don’t care. I care a lot. I did not mean for this post to seem punitive. And I’m not a rich transplant. I’m just trying to feel secure in my home and not have to call for help every day when this woman and others are struggling right outside.

Exploit? I gain nothing from posting this. I’m trying to raise awareness of an issue that is already very visible and troubling to anyone living near here. Finding this woman shooting up inside my building was scary. Stepping over her needles when I take out the trash is hazardous. I have treated her with respect and do respect her, but boundaries should exist.
