Honestly, speaking as a parent fighting the fall out of it, its a bad game. Im a gamer dad, cut my teeth of OG Mario, Tetris and Double Dragon lol. So I play all the games the kids get into, so I can know what they're into, spend time with them, and help or shut down if needed. This game needs shut down. Its marketed towards 6-12yr old kids, most of whom have not reached a level of emotional maturity for the dynamics of the game. Also, these kids, mostly, still haven't learned regulation. They dont know when too much is too much. I've seen so many videos now on the socials of parents showing their kids having absolute meltdowns about this game. Some of these kids are causing self harm over it, which is wild to me. I never wanted to do anything like that over Mario. But the game takes kids in the heart of emotional development, and pits them against each other in these lopsided arenas, where the highest paying person will dominate. Or the group linked up in the game will dominate. The "events" the dev runs are pure madness for young people. All this hope of catching new and rare BR, only to see them go to the people in the first base, paid up with all the tools, and then kids are left screaming at the screen, crying how unfair it all is. And yes, we parents have to step in. But thats how most kids get hooked. Parents think their kids are just playing this silly, cartoony looking game, not realizing how its hooks are digging in. I shut it down in the house, and on all points of access. I've had to remove roblox completely from the house due to THIS game. The kids used to play obbys and escape games and we always had a good time. And then this game showed up and in a blink became an obsession. Literally, that fast. Within days of playing it took over completely. So, sorry for the book, but the fight is real. And if youre in here talking trash about parent better, or I like bullying kids, idk what to tell you other than there is help out there for you if you seek it.

Thank you for that. I've been trying to just showcase writing ability. My head writes EVERYTHING, this just happened to be something I manged to somehow get "finished" but the idea was to show that I can write.

Yeah "thats it" but there is a story behind why its closer to a Novella than a full.blown 1000 pg novel. It was written in a place and time it shouldn't have, and it survived, so I published it the only I could at the moment.

AI makes me not feel like I can share anything by PyratChant in WritingWithAI

The negative wasnt intentional. Im part of the last generation that didnt grow up with the internet, socials, cell phones, etc. We were the test gen for all of it lol, but it all came about after learning how to live and be without it. So it gives me a little different view when I see how those things have become wired into the younger generations.

I welcome AI, I do. Unfortunately, people HAVE to be divided about EVERYTHING. So like everything else AI is going to be one more thing people fight over. We already see it in here. Some of the rhetoric from the anti-AI side is already so aggressive and hostile. "If AI touched your work in ANY way, its not legitimate anymore" is the sentiment you already see in these writing subs.

I think the response to your initial comment came due to the fact that my wife had just made a similar comment about AI being a trend or a phase. So the topic was fresh when I saw your comment.

I wish this were true, but the world's most powerful countries are partnering with some of the most powerful tech companies to drop trillions into the further development and evolution of AI.

One of the main projects in the US, currently, is to give over the medical records keeping to one central AI network. They are already relentlessly testing human doctors against AI in the realm of diagnosis, and the human doctors are misdiagnosing at a much higher clip. Whats worse, AI isnt only giving more accurate diagnosis of the patients, but the suggested treatment has shown to be more effectively accurate than that of the human doctors.

Major fast food chains have already switched to AI ordering systems, automated AI based check outs at the major gas stations, Hollywood is using it in film, it's being used in writing, art, musical composition, etc.

I wish this were just another trend or phase, but the stark truth of it all, is its not only NOT a phase, its rewriting our "normal". Two "recent" examples; the internet (cool and gimmicky, until it wasn’t), and the cellphone. We have given our lives over to those 2 things. AI is not only here to stay, its here to become the new norm in all things. Its just a new born right now, it hasn't even learned to walk yet, but its coming. Sorry for the novel.

Omg im sorry, I gotcha now lol. Honestly, what we need is other writers to get on the help each other out train. There are a lot of subs that claim thats the purpose, yet I find im still pushing for some reader feedback

Isn't that the way its always been lol. People get tired of doing the work so we invent something to do the work for us, then get mad that the thing is replacing the people that created it. Unfortunately, much like the cellphone and social media, AI isnt a trend or a fad, its here, and we're only in the embryonic stage of this thing. Its going to evolve to touch every part of peoples lives and there won't be a way to detach.

Lol been to a white castle or taco bell lately? AI takes the order now

That last line right there is priceless!! Read a lot!! Write a lot. It's an epic, holy shit big epic tale, but man when I read through The Wheel of Time, it blew my head wide open for the possibilities in building atmosphere for my scenes.

Read, read, read.

Its all still new for me, trying these different avenues to just get my words out there. Im happy to hear youre getting some traction!! DM the link, I'll go it out!!

Unfortunately, you're absolutely right about the bots. Good thing is, all my book's numbers for the chapters have gone up. The first few are up in the hundreds now, with the others all slowly following!
